Durch die Kumeu Weingegend erreichen wir die fantastische Westküste an der Tasmanischen See.

Auf den Spuren von Sir Edmund Hillary spazieren wir durch Nikau- und Regenwald mit tollen Aussichten.

Am Otakamiro Point treffen wir auf eine der wenigen Tölpel Kolonien Neuseelands (Sept - April) , wo sich auch Delphine und Seehunde tummeln.

Ankunft in Auckland gegen 12.30 Uhr.

Leaving Auckland, travel through the lush Kumeu Wine Country on your way to Muriwai.  This journey is only 45 minutes from downtown Auckland yet it will make you feel a million miles away from the city.

Walk in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary’s training hike for his Everest expedition, on the Hillary Trail.  The walkthrough beautiful native bush takes just 30-45 minutes and it will reward all of your senses with views, native bird song and the incredible smell of New Zealand’s native bush

After a short picnic, walk from Maukatia Bay along the Otakamiro Trail to the Gannet Colony and soak in breathtaking views along the wild black sand coast. If you are lucky enough, as other guests have been in the past, you may observe Maui Dolphins and Fur Seals (Kekeno) on the coast. 

Witness the high energy forces at work – sun, wind and waves!  Nature dominates the raw landscape here – impossible to tame, incredible to witness.
