Embark on an exciting Manaslu Circuit Trek, located in the central Gorkha district bordering Tibet. Manaslu trek offers the dedicated trekker a genuine adventure into a remote wilderness, untouched by the effects of tourism. Walk through bridges, rivers, farming fields, green valleys and beautiful villages to reach the Larkya-La Pass before descending through the magnificent rhododendron forest in this 18-day excursion.

  • Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel expand_more
    • Reach Kathmandu via respective airlines at the airport terminal. 

    • Meet our staff, who will greet you and provide you with complimentary transportation to your hotel.

  • Day 2: In Kathmandu we prepare for Trekking expand_more
    • Today is your leisure day. 

    • We will arrange a Manaslu permit for you. And if you are interested, you can go for the Kathmandu city tour.

  • Day 3: Drive to Arkhet - Trek to Sotikhola expand_more
    • Beginning this first-day journey with a long scenic drive to Arkhet, enjoying the Himalayan mountain views over green hills.

    • The drive continues on the main highway to Malekhu town; from here, our route diverts over the Trisuli River to Dhading – Besi and then on the dirt road to the first overnight camp at Arkhet village.

    • After the drive, we trek to Soti Khola, which follows Buri Gandaki River upstream, then into thick-forest of Sal trees here onwards for few days in warmer areas, as the trek progress with a fabulous view of Ganesh II at 7,118 m and Ganesh IV- 7,104 m.

    • Trek continues on the riverbank, passing Arkhet Bazaar, then climbing to a small settlement for an overnight stop at Soti Khola.

  • Day 4: Trek to Machhakhola expand_more
    • From Soti Khola village, the walk leads to a descend along the riverbank, passing several tea shops and coming across a mule caravan on the way towards Machhakhola. 

    • This nice day walk leads to a suspension bridge over Nauli-Khola and Khanigaon, reaching the bridge over Machhakhola.

    • After the bridge, on the uphill, the trail reaches Machha Khola for an overnight stop. This area is popular for fishing; this is why it is called Machha Khola, meaning fishing stream.

  • Day 5: Trek to Jagat expand_more
    • After a nice breakfast, the morning journey continues to a small Khola Beshi village and towards Tatopani with a natural hot spring. 

    • From here, trek through Dovan and Yaruphant village, then follow the Buri Gandaki River and over the bridge, we reach a large village at Jagat for an overnight stop.

  • Day 6: Trek to Dyang expand_more
    • From here onwards, we head towards the cooler mountain area to Dyang village and beyond. Morning walks follow the river, passing through several small scattered farm villages of Sidibas Bazaar. 

    • Then climb the uphill and cross a small suspension bridge at Nagjet to reach the Philim village with a small primary school supported by Japanese people. 

    • After Philim trekking through a terrace field of wheat, barley, then with an uphill on a rocky ridge, the walk passes through a bamboo forest and climbing to reach Deng village for an overnight stop.

  • Day 7: Trek to Ghap expand_more
    • On leaving Dyang village, a slow descend along the riverbank takes you to Bihi Bazaar.

    • From this village onwards, which is near the Tibetan border, one can observe the Tibetan traditions and culture in this area and beyond the upper Manaslu and Gorkha region. 

    • After walking for few more hours, we take an overnight halt at Ghap village.

  • Day 8: Trek to Lho expand_more
    • In the morning, trekking will cross the Budhi Gandaki river and pass small settlements with terraced fields. 

    • Then reach Numrung village with superb views of Mt. Manaslu North Face along with other tall peaks.

    • Continue walking through several small villages like Banjham, Sho, the winding uphill for few hours through Shrip. 

    • Now move onwards for an overnight atop at Lho Bazaar.

  • Day 9: Trek to Samagaon expand_more
    • As the walk progresses, reach slowly towards higher Manaslu at Samaagoan and further to Larkya Phedi.

    • The morning begins with a stunning sunrise view over the striking Mt. Manaslu; you will have ample time to capture this awesome scenery. Then head towards Samagaon, passing through the rhododendron forest. As the walk leads to higher terrain, one can observe changes in landscapes and sparse vegetation.

    • Walk for a few hours on the debris of Phungen Glacier, then finally reach the Samagaon village for an overnight stop.

  • Day 10: Rest day at Samagaon expand_more
    • It is a free day in this high area for acclimatization and a short walk around this interesting village with Tibetan Buddhist religions and culture with old traditions.

  • Day 11: Trek to Samdo expand_more
    • After a wonderful time in Samagaon, the morning walk starts towards Samdo, passing traders coming from Tibet with yaks laden with Tibetan and Chinese goods. 

    • The walk continues following the stream to reach our overnight stop at Samdo village. From here, it is close to the Tibetan border.

  • Day 12: Trek to Larkya Phedi at Dharamsala expand_more
    •  Today a short good walk to the base of Larkya-la at Phedi starting the morning following the river coming from Gya La. From here, there is a trail on the right that leads to Tibet.

    • Our adventure leads a straight reaching a small settlement at Larkya Bazaar, and then it is a couple of hours walk from here for an overnight stop and lunch at Dharamsala beneath the bottom of Larkya pass.

  • Day 13: Crossing Larkya-la - Bimthang expand_more
    • Today the main highlight of this wonderful adventure starting the long day with an early morning walk by following a steep climb and towards four frozen glacial ponds walk continues to the top of Larkya La Pass at 5,200 m highest spot of this adventurous journey. 

    • The path here sometimes can be quite hard on snow conditions while crossing moraines and glaciers. But on a fine day when there is no snow, the walk will be moderate and adventurous, traversing on this high altitude.

    • The pass offers a captivating panorama of Larke peak 6,249 m, Manaslu North 7,157 m and Salpudanda Glacier. The pass is festooned with Buddhist prayer flags.

    • After a great moment here at the top, descend towards a magnificent green valley surrounded by rhododendron and pine trees at Bhimthang for an overnight stop after a vigorous 8 hours trek.

  • Day 14: Trek to Gho expand_more
    • After breakfast on this beautiful spot, the trek leads, crossing a glacier stream and climbing over the moraine. 

    • Then descend on the pleasant path through meadows and forest of pine and rhododendron trees, reaching Gho for an overnight stop.  Gho is a small settlement surrounded by enchanting forests.

  • Day 15: Trek to Dharapani expand_more
    • On this leisure day, walk on the downhill trail till Dharapani passing the Tilche village by Marshyangdi River. Around this area are the Manang people rich in Tibetan Buddhist traditions and culture. 

    • From this village, the walk is easier with a short uphill climb to a large village of Dharapani for overnight stop checks into the lodge with opportunity for hot showers as this place is popular on the Annapurna circuit trekking route.

  • Day 16: Trek to Jagat expand_more
    • Today is the last day walk of this remarkable adventure, as the pleasant trek gradually passes through several villages of Tal Besi and Tal Karte and Sattale. 

    • This walk descends to cross a suspension bridge over the raging Marshyangdi River overlooking fabulous views of the Annapurna Himalaya range of mountains.

    • Then walk through the lush green forest following Marshyangdi River downstream with a gradual downhill walk to Jagat village for an overnight stop.

  • Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu through Beshisahar expand_more
    • Today is the last day in the Himalayan mid-hills.

    • After breakfast, drive on the dirt road for few hours, passing through several farm villages and to the large town of Beshi Sahar, the headquarter of Lamjung district. 

    • From here on the excellent road to Kathmandu, take an enjoyable scenic drive. 

    • Then finally, reach Kathmandu after completing this mesmerising adventure.

  • Day 18: International departure expand_more
    • After a fantastic time in Nepal Himalaya, our staff will transfer you to the international airport for your respective destination as per the flight timing.
