9 Days Culture tour itinerary for Chitwan, Kathmandu & Pokhara: Indulge In Elephant Safaris,nature Sights And Cultural Experiences

Revel in this country's ancient histories and cultures with visits to museums, temples and stupas. Indulge in elephant safaris at Chitwan National park, boat rides at Phewa Lake and enjoy panoramic Himalayan views from Sarangkot mountain village and Chandragiri Hills.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by your Nepali tour guide for hotel transfers.
Later in the evening, you will treated to a traditional welcome dinner at local Nepali restaurant with a cultural program.
Swayambhunath temple - Pashupatinath - Boudhanath - Kathmandu Durbar Square
Tour begins at 9:30 am in the morning. Start with a visit to Swayambhunath temple (Monkey Temple) which is situated atop a hill in Kathmandu valley. From the top you can see the picturesque views of entire Kathmandu valley.
Continue to Pashupatinath Temple, a famous and sacred Hindu temple complex located on the bank of Holy Bagmati River.
Next, you will see the famed Boudhanath Stupa. This spherical stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is the last stop for day 2. This is a monumental center of Kathmandu with palaces, pagodas, statues, all of great beauty. An ancient palace place, it used to be the palace for Malla kings of Kathmandu valley.
Day 2 will end at: 4:00 pm.
Start at: 8:00 am in the morning. After breakfast, you will be driving to Chitwan National Park. The journey to Chitwan will take around 6 hours.
Have late lunch upon your arrival at Chitwan hotel. Rest or relax till evening and then go for a riverside walk with sunset views in the backdrop.
End the day with a local Tharu Cultural program.
Day 3 will end at 8:30 pm.
Chitwan National Park
Start at: 7:00 am in the morning. If interested, you can go for canoeing experience on the Budhi Rapti river. During the canoeing trip, spot alligators, crocodiles and bird life.
The next stop is the Elephant breeding center. A fun place wherein you get to meet baby elephants. You can also an Elephant back safari or Jeep safari here. Spot endless bird life here for this park is home to more than 560 species of birds. If adventurous, go on a short jungle walk to experience walking within wilderness.
Enjoy a local village tour to understand life of village people.
Day 4 will end at 6:00 pm.
Start at 8:00 am in the morning. Start your drive to Pokhara after breakfast. This ride will take around 6 hours followed by hotel check ins at Pokhara.
Next, you will visit the famous Pokhara Shanti Stupa at Anadu Hill in Kaski district, Nepal. This will be followed by visits to Davis Falls and Gupteshwor Cave for some more nature attractions.
In the evening, you can go for boat rides on Phewa Lake which is situated south of the Pokhara Valley. Enjoy sunset views here and just rest in serene nature.
Day 5 will end at: 6:00 pm.
Start at 9:00 am in the morning. Begin with visits to the Mountain museum and Butterfly museum. Understand the life of people living in mountains, and also explore the different species of butterflies in the world.
Continue with visit to the Bindabasini Temple.
End day with stunning sunset views from Sarangkot village from atop Sarangkot mountain. Also, watch out for panoramic Himalayan views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu as well as the city of Pokhara and Phewa lake from here.
Day 6 will end at 6:00 pm in the evening. Other optionalactivitiesin Pokhara areParagliding, Bungee jumping and Ultralight flying.
Today, you have two options for further exploration in Kathmandu. One is river rafting at Trishuli river and the second option is a visit to the famed Manakamana Temple. This temple is situated in the Gorkha district of Nepal and is a sacred place of the Hindu Goddess Bhagwati.
Day 8 starts at 9: 00 am in the morning. You will travel to Chandragiri Hills with your tour guide. These hills are perfect for picturesque Kathmandu valley views and also that of Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Mount Everest.
Later, you can do some shopping. Be sure to look out for local souvenirs.
Trip ends at 6:00 pm in the evening.
You will be dropped at the Kathmandu airport for your return flight.
