Traverse a trail that winds through Namche Bazaar, the capital of the famous Sherpa community, and on to Tengboche, famous for its monasteries where your spiritual soul will be revitalized and up again, passing by mountain villages to finally reach the gorgeous Everest Base Camp. Fill your memories with the magnificient views of Mt. Everest from its foothills. One of the must-go treks for every adventure-seeker. 

DAY 01

Kathmandu (1320m)

  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfer to hotel. 

  • Overnight at 3-star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The Kathmandu Hotel)

DAY 02

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding (2640m)

  • Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886 m).

  • Upon arrival at Lukla, get refreshed in one of the hotels and start trekking to Phakding (2640 m).

  • The trail follows a gentle climb up the mountainside, on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi. Nupla (5885 m) can be seen on the opposite bank.

  • In the late afternoon, reach Phakding.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 03

Phakding to Namche Bazzar (3440m)

  • Have breakfast at Phakding and trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.).

  • The trail goes along the right bank of Dudh Koshi. Thamserku rises majestically on the opposite bank.

  • Once we reach Bengar, the trail climbs from the riverbed on the left bank, into the mountain through a forest to Chumoa. Continue along the trail with many ups and downs, cross a stream, and pass by the tiny village of Monjo.

  • Visit Sagarmatha National Park Service where a park entrance fee is to be deposited.

  • Follow a short walk along the riverbed of this V-shaped valley, where the river forks into Dudh Koshi on the right and Bhote Koshi on the left.

  • Now begins a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar. On the way, get excellent views of Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m). Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Namche Bazaar is a central hub of the region for food, trekking gear, and other necessary goods.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 04

Acclimatization at Namche Bazzar

  • Take a day's rest at Namche Bazaar and acclimatize before heading towards Tyangboche.

  • Go up to Khhumjung monastery. It is a small settlement of Sherpa community.

  • Enjoy the splendid views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde and other peaks, from here.

  • While returning to Namche, visit the Sherpa Culture museum, just above the town.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 05

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m)

  • Have breakfast at Namche Bazaar.

  • Head towards Tengboche (3867m.). The trail goes ahead leaving a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Kosi.

  • Enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas such as Ama Dablam (6812m), Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse (7855m) and Tawoche (6501m).

  • Visit Trashinga, Phunki Tenga and finally, reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche offers good sunrise and sunset views of Everest and Ama Dablam.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 06

Tengboche to Dingboche (4260m)

  • Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4260m).

  • Descend through a rhododendron forest and enter Deboche.

  • Crossing a suspension bridge at Imja Khola, head towards Minlinggo and inter Imjatse Valley beneath the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse. 

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 07

Acclimatization at Dingboche (4260m)

  • Take a day to acclimatize and be familiar with the local climate.

  • Have breakfast at the tea house and explore the village.

  • In the afternoon, hike up to Chhukum. It also provides the majestic view of Island peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Tawoche peak and others.

  • In the late afternoon, come back to Dingboche and take rest.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 08

Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m)

  • Head towards Lobuche, which is five and half hours (normal walk) away from Dingboche.

  • The onward trail is gentle up to Pheriche village. Along the trail, enjoy panoramic views of the Mt.Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokalde (5741m), Kongma-tse (5820m) and the great wall of Nuptse.

  • Have lunch at Dugla (4595m) and continue trekking to Lobuche.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 09

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5364m.)

  • Have breakfast at Lobuche.

  • Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (5140m.).

  • It is the most rewarding section of the trek. The trail winds up through a rocky path and Khumbu glacier. The view of Nuptse, Lho-La, and Khumbutse appear at a stones-throw away.

  • Visit Everest Base Camp and later, return to Gorakshep.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 10

Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m) to Pheriche (4243m)

  • Early in the morning, get ready to climb Kala Patthar (5545m.) and enjoy the sunrise.

  • See Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more from the best vanatge point on Kala Patthar.

  • Then, continue trek to Pheriche.

  • A Himalayan Rescue Association Aid Post is located in Pheriche, where medical treatments are provided by volunteering foreign doctors. 

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 11

Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

  • It takes about four and half hours to reach Namche Bazaar from Tyangboche.

  • En route, visit traditional villages like Khumjung and Khunde, and a monastery that houses a Yeti Scalp.

  • Reach Namche Bazaar in the late afternoon.

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 12

Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m)

  • Have breakfast in the teahouse at Namche Bazaar, start trekking back to Lukla. 

  • Lunch will be served on the way.

  • Upon arrival , freshen up and take rest. 

  • Overnight at tea house lodge.

DAY 13

Lukla to Kathmandu

  • Board an early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.

  • Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to hotel.

  • In the afternoon, go shopping or sightseeing.

  • Farewell dinner will be served in Bhojan Griha, a typical Nepali restaurant.

  • Overnight at 3-star hotel (Thamel Eco Resort or The Address Kathmandu Hotel)

DAY 14

Departure Day

  • After breakfast at the hotel, free time for shopping or rest, till the time for your international flight.

  • 1230 USD Per Adult (* 6-10)
  • 1250 USD Per Adult (* 2-5 Pax)
  • 1395 USD Per Adult (* 1-1 Pax)
  • Airport pick up and drop off by private car/van/bus.

  • Two night's standard accommodation in Kathmandu (on the arrival day and after trekking, according to the program).

  • Standard meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner), during trekking.

  • All necessary paper work and national park entry permits.

  • Domestic airport pick up and drop by car/ Flight Ticket (LUK-KTM-LUK) / domestic airport Tax.

  • All accommodations in lodges/tea houses, during the treks.

  • An experienced, helpful and friendly Guide, porters (1 porter for 2 trekkers).

  • Salary, food, drinks, accommodation, transportation and insurance for the Guide and Porter.

  • Arrangement of Emergency Helicopter service which will be paid for by the Travel insurance company.

  • Sagarmatha National park entrance permit and fees.

  • Trekker's Information Management System (TIMS) card fees.

  • First aid medical kit.

  • Duffle bag, down jacket, sleeping bag and walking pole, if necessary.

  • Farewell dinner in typical Nepali Restaurant with cultural dance show

  • All government taxes, vat, official expenses & service charges

  • Nepal entry visa fee (you may easily apply for visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport - Kathmandu). You will require 2 passport size photos.

  • Travel insurance.

  • Lunch and dinner while you are in Kathmandu, except otherwise mentioned.

  • All the alcoholic and non alcoholic Drinks.

  • Snacks like chips and chocolate.

  • Hot shower during the trek.

  • Tipping (expected by guides and porters, but not mandatory)

  • While in Kathmandu, your accommodation is at standard hotels (Attached Bath, A/C, 24 hours running hot/cold shower) similar to 3-star.

  • While on the trek, your accommodation is at mountain lodges and local tea houses; they are clean and comfortable.

  • The accommodations everywhere will be on a twin-sharing basis, unless stated. Single supplement accommodation is also available on request at an additional cost of US $200. Do let us know if you want to upgrade your accommodation in Kathmandu or in a major city.

  • The meals while on trek are included in the package and will be taken at the lodges.

  • Breakfast and dinner will be taken at the overnight lodge. During the treks, the guide will choose and stop for lunch at anu available place. We recommend water purification pills for the trek. There is also an option to buy bottled water or boiled water. 

  • In case of a serious sickness or a casualty while you are on Everest base camp trek, optimal care will be taken to transfer you to the nearest hospital; you are entirely liable for all the expenses incurred in evacuation/rescue. Please make sure that these expenses are covered by your insurance policy before leaving for the trek or be prepared to pay on your own after getting back to Kathmandu. 

  • If a domestic flight is cancelled, we will reschedule your flight for the following day. (Subject to availability). However, if it is a group, we could also hire a helicopter to fly in/out of Lukla, as per the planned date and time. Cost of helicopter flight is your own expense.

  • The helicopter flight will cost a minimum of US $500 per person, depending on group size. To cover this expenses, you are kindly requested to avail travel insurance that covers flight cancellation for a minimum of US $500 for a day. We will prepare documentation for this as per your requirements.
