Go on this classic world trek in this section of the Himalaya mountains in Northcentral Nepal. Trek through Tadapani, Poon Hill etc. and stop at mountainside villages for rural experiences. Finally, you get to take in all the breathtaking scenery at Machapuchare mountain.

Tikhedunga expand_more
Begin your first day trek at Nayapul.
Walk along the banks of the Modi Khola river to reach Birethanti (1,100 m), a charming village with many shops and tea houses. You continue through the village and follow the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola river.
This will be followed by a 4-5 hour trek to reach Tikhedhunga at 1,480 m.

Ghorepani village expand_more
Begin today with a steep climb to Ulleri, a stone village at an altitude of 1,960 m.
Here, you will pass through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons. Here, the trek continues towards Nangethanti at 2,460 m.
After an hour's walk, you will arrive at Ghorepani village (2,874 m) in Myagdi District in the Dhaulagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal.

Poon Hill - Tadapani expand_more
Start the day with an early morning hike to Poon Hill area (3,210 m). This vantage point provides an unobstructed sunrise view over the high Himalayas. You can spend an hour here and return back to Ghorepani village.
Enjoy a nice heavy breakfast before continuing your trek through rhododendron forests towards Deurali (3,200 m). From here, we descend to Banthanti to reach Tadapani (2,630 m).

Chomrong expand_more
Continue trekking by going downhill through rhododendron forests again and reach a Gurung village.
This will be followed by an easy walk to Chomrong (2,170 m).

Himalaya Hotel expand_more
This trek will continue on towards Khaldighar. Here, the travel or trek will be quite steep and will take you along rocky paths with bamboo thickets on the side. The end of this walk leads to the Himalaya Hotel.

Annapurna Base Camp expand_more
On day 6, you will continue your trek with a climb past the Hinko Cave to reach the Machapuchare Base Camp (6,993 m), a mountain in Annapurna Himalayas.
Next, you will go from the Machapuchare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m). Here, we rest whilst enjoying the surrounding mountain views.

Bamboo trek expand_more
Start early for Bamboo trekking point which is the destination for the day. On this day, the trail will be the same trail from the previous day. As the path goes in the downward direction, the altitude will drop by 1,700 m near the banks of Modi Khola river before arriving at Bamboo trekking point.
You have the option of an overnight stay at the tea houses or lodges here.

Jhinu expand_more
On the second last day, the trail will be the same as followed in the previous day until we reach Chomrong.
On the way, you will pass by Khaldighar again and also an experimental sheep farm. A steep climb follows here before you reach Jhinu. There are some natural hot springs here. You can take a bath here, if interested.

Nayapul - Pokhara expand_more
On the last day, you will come back to the banks of Modi Khola river and walk on this side for some four to five hours to reach Birethanti. This will lead you to Nayapul for the return drive to Pokhara.
