Description

This short and sweet trek is where you can have incredible mountain views and traditional cultural taste. Relatively easy compared to others in Nepal, it starts from Nayapul, along the Modi River, then to Hile, which leads you to Tikhe Dhunga then to Ghorepani. It compiles the thrilling wonders of trekking with a relaxed journey as compared to the other options in trekking in this region!

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu expand_more
    • Arrive at Kathmandu. 

    • Get picked up from the airport and transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing expand_more
    • After breakfast, get a brief about the trekking from the representatives.

    • Then, proceed for sightseeing around Kathmandu. Visit Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Patan Durbar Square.

    • Return at around 5 pm in the evening, after which arrange your trekking gear and be ready for the next day.

  • Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (6-7 hours) expand_more
    • Travel to Pokhara, also known as the tourism capital of Nepal. Around 6:30 am, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the Tourist Bus Park.

    • You can also travel by plane, which will be at your own cost.

    • Enjoy walking around the Lake side or have fun boating in the Fewa lake right at the heart of the city.

    Overnight at Pokhara.

  • Day 4: Pokhara to Ulleri (2070 m) (1 hour 15 minutes drive; 5 hours 30 minutes walk) expand_more
    • After breakfast, drive to Nayapul in a taxi or a car along with our guide. The first day of hiking starts from here.

    • The initial track is easy but after you reach Tikhedhunga, climb 3200-storey stones until you reach Ulleri.

    • During the trek, pass the lowland rice fields, traditional local villages, meadows, waterfalls and river. If the weather is good, you can see an incredible view of Annapurna South and Himchuli.

    Overnight at Ulleri.

  • Day 5: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750 m) (5 hour walk) expand_more
    • Trail is slightly uphill until you reach Ghorepani.

    • Today the trail passes through the forest including Rhododendron forest.

    • Along the way, see majestic view of various mountains like Annapurna South, Fishtail and Dhaulagiri. Poonhill is just 45 minutes hike from Ghorepani; hike there to see the sunset view if the weather is clear. 

  • Day 6: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2700 m) (6 hour walk) expand_more
    • Wake up early in the morning, around one hour before sunrise, and hike up to the Poonhill. It is considered the best spot for a sunrise view as well as 360 - degree panoramic mountain views.

    • See parts of Jomsom as well as parts of upper Mustang.

    • Return back to the hotel, have a nice breakfast, and descend through the pine and Rhododendron forests until you reach Tadapani.

    Overnight at Tadapani.

  • Day 7: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1950 m) (4 hour walk) expand_more
    • The initial trial is plain until you reach Bhaisi Kharka; after that, the trail is steep downhill until Ghandruk.

    • Ghandruk offers you an incredible view of various mountains including, Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna III, Annapurna South and Himchuli.

    • A trip to Gurung Museum and local monasteries are the things you can do while you are in Ghandruk. 

  • Day 8: Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara (4 hour walk; 1 hour 15 minutes drive) expand_more
    • Following the Modi River, a gentle descent leads you to Nayapul.

    • After reaching Nayapul, hire a taxi or private car and ride back to Pokhara.

    • Enjoy yourself in Pokhara, visiting many places like Fewa Lake, various caves and waterfalls.

    Overnight at Pokhara.

  • Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu (6-7 hour drive) expand_more
    • Early in the morning, proceed to the tourist Bus Park and ride a bus to Kathmandu.

    • If you prefer rafting while going back to Kathmandu, we will provide you with a private car and rafting package at an extra cost.

  • Day 10: Departure expand_more
    • End of the trip, representatives from our office will drop you at the international airport and bid farewell.
