Trekking along the valley


An exciting trail in Himalayas colorfully decorated by nature with scenic mountain views, thick forests, blooming rhododendrons, and other flowers. On your preferences, this lodge to lodge trekking can be converted into a camp trekking.

DAY 01


  • The representative from Himkala Adventure will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. 

  • After your check in, you could get refreshed and walk around the local market in your spare time. 

  • Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

DAY 02

  • After breakfast, we meet for the briefing about the schedule and begin our day tour for today. 

  • First, we visit Swoyambhu Stupa, known as monkey temple as there are many monkeys of rhesus macaques living in the hill. The conical shaped hill is 77 m high from the ground level. It is the nice viewpoint for the valley view and sun rise, sun set. The 6th century old Stupa and the Harati temple in the middle of the temple premises are the highlights there. Visitors from different places walk around the Stupa clockwise and witness the ritual practices in Harati temple. 

  • Drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square where we visit many Hindu temples, Kumari House for living goddess, Basantapur square, Palace, Taleju Temple and head towards Boudha stupa. 

  • Boudha Stupa is the biggest Stupa in the southern Asia because of its height and expansion. 

  • We visit Pashupatinath temple where we can see ritual bathers, priests, holy men and women, and the dead bodies being cremated in the cremation spot. 

  • After the completion of day tour, we return back to hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 03

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

  • Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Prithivi highway is very exciting through rural setting with panoramic landscape view of hills, rivers. We see and meet some of the local people there to know more about them. 

  • We follow Trishuli River initially and then the Marshyangdi River. 

  • We can see the Annapurna ranges on the way from Khairenitar in the clear day. 

  • O/N at hotel.

DAY 04

Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga

  • After breakfast, we drive to Nayapul. 

  • We get down from bus and descend to Modi Khola, follow the east bank and cross the bridge. 

  • We gradually climb up to Hile and reach to Tikhedhunga. 

  • Overnight at Lodge.

DAY 05

Trek to Ghorepani

  • The trail passes through the lush and green rhododendron and oak forest. 

  • The trail traverses with many streams and finally reaches to Ghorepani via Ulleri, Banthanti. 

  • Overnight at Ghorepani.

DAY 06

Hike to Poonhill and Tadapani

  • We get up early in the morning and hike to Poonhill. Poonhill is the best viewpoint for the sunrise and scintillating view of Himalayas as well as the panoramic view of Kaligandaki river valley. 

  • After breakfast, we continue our trek to Tadapani along the ridges through the dense forest of rhododendron and reach to Tadapani. 

  • O/N at Tadapani.

DAY 07

Trek to Chhomrong

  • We walk through the forest and reach to Chile and trek down to village, climb to the place called Gurjung. 

  • After having lunch there, we walk 2 hours more to arrive at Chhomrong. 

  • O/N at Chhomrong.

DAY 08

Trek to Dovan

  • The trail drops down through the long stairs to Chhomrong stream, cross suspension bridge and continues to climb up to the ridge. 

  • We reach Sinuwa. 

  • We walk over the ridge through the forest and reach Dovan. 

  • O/N at Dovan.

DAY 09

Trek to Deurali

  • After having breakfast, we continue our journey to Deurali. 

  • We reach the place called Hinku passing rhododendron and bamboo forests. 

  • When we walk about 2 hours from here, we will be in our today’s destination Deurali. 

  • O/N at Deurali.

DAY 10

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

  • We get our breakfast and climb up to the mountainside which is very steep. 

  • The walk from Bagar to Machhapuchhre base camp is very tough and tiring. There are few lodges in Machhapuchhre Base Camp.

  • We go over the moraines under the cliff., after 2 hours walk from there, we reach to Annapurna Base Camp.

  • O/N at Annapurna base camp.

DAY 11

Trek down to Bamboo

  • Wake up early in the morning and view sunrise over Annapurna Base Camp and trek down to Bamboo. 

  • We descend down to Modi Khola and hike up to Bamboo. The Himalayan scene and waterfall nearby are unforgettable. 

  • O/N at Bamboo.

DAY 12

Trek to Jhinu Hot Spring

  • We pass a landslide to reach Sinuwa. 

  • We walk down, cross the river and climb up to Choomrong. 

  • It takes about 45 minutes to reach to Jhinu Danda from Chhomrong. Jhinu has natural hot spring. It is on the bank of the Modi River. We can take hot water bath and revitalize ourselves. 

  • Overnight at Jhinu Danda.

DAY 13

Trek to Ghandruk

  • After breakfast, we descend to small stream and climb up to stone stairs. It takes about 3 hours to reach to the little village on the top. 

  • We follow the forest of rhododendron then go through the trail to Ghandruk. 

  • O/N at Ghandruk.

DAY 14

Trek to Nayapul

  • After breakfast, we trek down the stone stairs to Syauli Bazaar. 

  • It takes about 2 hours from Ghandruk. We cross the suspension bridge and have lunch at Syauli Bazaar. 

  • Then after 30 minutes’ walk, we reach to Nayapul. 

  • We drive back to Pokhara and check in hotel. You could walk around and explore the local market. 

  • O/N at Pokhara.

DAY 15

Sightseeing around Pokhara Valley

  • Pokhara is a gifted city. It has almost everything to see and do around. There are mountains in the north which can be seen very close from ground level if not, you could hike or go to Sarangkot by vehicle. It has Lakes, rivers, gorges, caves, forests, hills, streams, and lot more things to do. 

  • We visit Bindhawasini temple, Seti River gorge, one of the museums, Davis falls, Gupteshwor cave, and Tibetan Refugee Camp. 

  • We drive back to Lakeside and go around the Phewa Lake in a boat. We can see the para-gliders and ultra light flyers in the sky soaring up high. The reflection of the Fishtail clearly can be seen in the Phewa Lake in the clear day. 

  • O/N at Pokhara.

DAY 16

Drive back to Kathmandu

  • After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu by tourist coach or private tourist vehicle. On the way, we can enjoy the views of countryside where we can see village houses, folks doing daily activities in their farmland, rivers, streams and the hills. 

  • We reach our hotel in Kathmandu for overnight stay.

DAY 17


  • We transfer you 3 hours before the scheduled flight so if you have more time, we could help you visit local market around.
