Go on this exciting 13-day hike to the Annapurna Base Camp as you trek along local trails, dense rhododendron forests, villages, terraced farmland, and glacier. Understand Nepalese culture through its UNESCO World Heritage sites of Pashupatinath Temple, Stupas of Swambhunath, Boudhanath, and Durbar Square. Enjoy a bath in the hot spring of Jhinu and take in the breathtaking views from the base camp.

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu expand_more
    • Your official representative will welcome you and transfer you to a 3-star quality hotel.
    • After hotel check-in, you will visit the office for an orientation about your tour plan.

  • Day 2: Pokhara expand_more
    • After breakfast, we take a short flight of around 25 min to Pokhara. Though we can access Pokhara by road, we choose to take a flight.
    • After landing in Pokhara, we transfer to a hotel near the lakeside.
    • Free afternoon for roaming around lake city Pokhara and shopping.

  • Day 3: Drive to Nayapul - Tikhedhunga expand_more
    • After breakfast, travel the twisty route over the middle hills to Nayapul to meet your porters and begin the trek to Tikhedhunga.
    • Trek to Tikhedhunga will take almost 4 hours following the river to Lumle.
    • On the way, we will be observing the beautiful farming lands and people working there, and we finally reach today’s destination.

  • Day 4: Trek to Ghode Pani expand_more
    • Leaving Tikhedhunga, we begin our trek with a steep climb to Ulleri village. Well, Ulleri is a large Gurung village at the elevation of 2070m.
    • After ascending trek through the beautiful dense rhododendron forest, magnolia forests will finally bring us to Ghode Pani.

  • Day 5: Hike to Poonhill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani / Chile (2660m) 6hrs. expand_more
    • Early in the morning, we start on an hour hiking to Poon Hill to get the best sunrise view in the panorama of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massifs.
    • Later we return to Ghode Pani and follow the beautiful dense forests to reach Tadapani, which will be the destination for today.
  • Day 6: Trek to Sinuwa (2350m) via Chhomrong Village 6 hrs. expand_more
    • Trek to Sinuwa continue to Jhinu Danda steep incline further a steep dirt track regains altitude then levels out as it turns back to the river and reaches Chhomrong almost 2 hours from here.
    • Descend into a small canyon, cross the river and climb steeply up the short main river canyon to Sinuwa Danda for a further 3 hours trek.
  • Day 7: Trek to Deurali (3200m) 7 hrs expand_more
    • Trek to Deurali Pass an experimental farm, restarting a climb through rhododendron and bamboo dense forest to the grazing grounds of Tomo.
    • After 5 hours of a pleasant walk, we finally reach Deurali.
  • Day 8: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) expand_more
    • Above Deurali, the valley widens and becomes less complicated. After walking some rocky staircase, we reach the place where some people were killed by an avalanche. We should not take a long time in this possible dangerous place. As you walk furthermore, more beautiful stunning mountains are seen closely.
    • The trail slightly turns to the left in the valley after Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), and now it is a pleasure to walk up to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). You may feel at a high altitude sickness after reaching Annapurna Base Camp. It is recommended not to rush and walk slowly. Now you can see one of the best  Mountain Views from Base Camp.
    • There are tremendous views of giant Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and several other impressive peaks.

  • Day 9: Decent to Bamboo (2160m) 7 hrs expand_more
    • After enjoying the magnificent mountain view and taking a hot cup of tea or coffee, we take breakfast and trek down to Bamboo via Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali and Himalaya.
    • We take a lunch break on the way.

    Stay overnight at the lodge.

  • Day 10: Trek to Jhinu Danda (Natural hot spring) 5 hrs expand_more
    • From Bamboo, we walk up, and it is pleasant to walk to Sinuwa, head down to Chhomrong Khola, walk up a long stone staircase, and then walk steep down to Jhinu.
    • After reaching Jhinu, we book a room, and after having lunch, we walk down to the hot spring, which takes about 20 minutes.
    • We can take a bath in natural hot water and come back to the lodge.

  • Day 11: Trek to Nayapul 6 hrs expand_more
    • After having breakfast, we trek to Nayapul via Birethanti. It takes an almost  5-hour walk to Nayapul; then we drive to Pokhara by private car.

  • Day 12 : Back to Kathmandu (7 hrs) expand_more
    • If you have chosen to fly, you can visit more sightseeing spots mentioned above.
    • After arriving in Kathmandu, visit Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Boudhanath Stupa, all world heritage sites.
    • We have a full day sightseeing tour around these places that will introduce you to the Kathmandu Valley.

  • Day 13: Departure expand_more
    • Your office representative will accompany you to the airport for departure.

Know before you go
  • The best time to go on this trek is from September to December and from  March to May, but you can also go in January and February, but it will be cold and snowing.
  • Kathmandu to Pokhara roundtrip airfare is extra if you need a domestic flight.
