The great canyon of the Modi Kola River and the surrounding area provides a 7 – 13 day trek that is truly astounding.
The trek is a hike into the dazzling natural amphitheatre formed by the staggering giants peaks. The mountain views are spectacular and some mountains including Annapurna South, Annapurna 1, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Fang and Machhapuchhare, popularly known as fishtail guard the Annapurna sanctuary making the place like heaven on earth.
The raging river fills the air with mist and a pleasant hot spring awaits the weary travellers.
The elevation ranges from 950 m to 4200 m and the trails pass through sub-tropical lowlands, valleys, bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests, alpine meadows and the windswept land of Annapurna mountain range.
