The Summit of Annapurna

Annapurna-Nepal

Take up the moderate yet popular Annapurna Circuit trek, to test your strengths. Indulge in an invigorating trek as you touch upon Throng pass, Poon hill trek, and Annapurna Base camp.

DAY 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, where the guide will welcome you displaying your name on a board.

  • Head out for a swanky hotel

  • Get a briefing about the trek.

DAY 02

Kathmandu - Dharapani

  • Having breakfast at the hotel,  drive to Besisahar by car.

  • From Besishar, take 4WD jeep for a 4-5 hr drive to Dharpani via Chamje.

DAY 03

Dharapani - Chame

  • Walk a few miles,  through forested ridges along with several landslides on route on the west.

  • Take in the views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft).

  • Head on to Chame.

DAY 04

Chame - Pisang

  • Follow the trail through the Lower Pisang.

  • After a pleasant walk through Bhrathang village and its apple orchards, cross the river again.

  • Take the short climb to a peaceful pine forest, which leads into the wide Manang valley.

  • Camp at the lodge at the Lower Pisang village, the upper one on the far river bank beneath the Tibetan Monastery.

DAY 05

Pisang - Manang

  • While approaching Manang, notice that the cultivation increases and pass through some of the oldest villages in the region.

  • Spend a day of rest at Manang.

DAY 06

Manang - Rest

  • Hike up to some higher point from the lodge, for acclimatization.,

  • Visit Ice lake which is almost at the elevation of 4500m, to have a great view of Annapurna III, Gangapurna and Khangsar Kang.  

  • Indulge in shopping and have a walk around Manang village. Bhojo Gompa or Gangapurna Lake. You can even visit a nearby village called Bhraka, upon where we will be at a village's monastery.

  • Visit the Himalayan Rescue Association to get some ideas about Mountain Sickness.

DAY 07

Manang - Yak Kharka

  • Pass through Thanki village, which is full of homes designed to cope with the extremes that the Himalaya can throw at a settlement.

  •  Enjoy magnificent views of the Annapurna, Gungapurna, Tilicho and the Chulu peaks.

DAY 08

Yak kharka - Throng Phedi

  • Make your way to the foot of the pass, Throng Phedi,  a small busy settlement catering to the needs of tired trekkers and climbers.

  • You can also attempt a hike to the High Camp today so that the next day can be easier for them.

DAY 09

Throng Phedi - Throng la - Muktinath

  • Consider this as the hardest day on the trek, as you first ascend steeply to 4590m.

  • Trek along an undulating trail to the flat top of Thorung La (5416m.) From here there are stunning views of the Annapurna range to the south and Mukut Himal bordering Dolpo to the West.

  • Descend steeply over glacial moraine, which gives way to grassy meadows before reaching Muktinath, one of the most important pilgrimage sights for Hindus and Tibetans.

  • Visit the nearby temple with 108 carved spouts from which holy water flows is famous for a fire that miraculously burns in a stream of water.

DAY 10

Muktinath - Tatopani

  • Take a 4WD jeep all the way down to Tatopani, where you can still get a good view of Tilicho peak, Mt. Dhaulagiri and many more.

  • After lunch at late noon, go to hot spring water for hot spring bath. 

*If you want to hike instead of driving, it can be arranged too. Hiking instead of driving will increase your trek duration and one can do it, if they have time.

DAY 11

Tatopani - Shikha

  • Keep ascending to Shikha through numerous villages enjoying the view of Mt. Dawalagiri range and Dampus peak. 

DAY 12

Shikha - Gorepani

  • Cross some village and make a gradual ascent, to reacht Gorepani by lunchtime.

  • After lunch,  have a look around Gorepani and later in the evening visit Poonhill for the sunset view. 

DAY 13

Gorepani - Tadapani

  • Early in the morning, head to  Poonhill for the sunrise view.

  • Descend back to the hotel and after breakfast, head towards Tadapani. You will still have a good view of the Annapurna range, Mt. Fishtail and more. 

  • Get a different view of Mt. Fishtail from Tadapani. You can even see Himchuli peak.

DAY 14

Tadapani - Chhomrong

  • From Tadapani, descend down to Kimrong Khola and continue to Kimrong village then to Chhomrong. Mt. Fishtail looks closer as you approach Chhomrong.

DAY 15

Chhomrong - Himalaya

  • From Chhomrong, descend down to Tilche and keep ascending gradually to Sinuwa.

  • From Sinuwa, marvel at the nature as Chhomrong village looks beautiful.

  • Keep walking to Bambo where you can stop for lunch.

  • Walk all the way to Himalaya village, through a bamboo forest. 

DAY 16

Himalaya - Annapurna Base Camp

  •  Make a gradual ascend to Macchapuchre base camp and then to Annapurna base camp. 

  • See Mt. Fishtail, Gandarba chuli and Gangapurna himal on the way to Annapurna base camp.

  • From Annapurna base camp, you will have a great view of Annapurna I, Himchuli peak, Mt. Fishtail, Gandarwa chuli, Tharpu chuli and Annapurna South.

DAY 17

Annapurna Base camp - Bamboo

  • Descend to Bamboo

DAY 18

Bamboo - Jhinu Danda

  • Keep walking to Chhomrong and then descend to Jhinu Danda.

DAY 19

Jhinu Danda - Pothana

  • From Jhinu Danda, descend to New bride then keep ascending to Lhandruk.

  • From Lhandruk, keep ascending to Pothana gradually, from where you can see Mt. Fishtail, Mardi himal, Lamjung Himal, Himchuli, etc. 

DAY 20

Pothana - Pokhara

  • From Pothana, descend to Phedi from where you can take a private or local vehicle to Pokhara.

  • After checking-in at the hotel in Pokhara, indulge in any adventure activities at Pokhara. 

DAY 21

Pokhara - Kathmandu

  • Take an early morning flight to Kathmandu.

  • 1645 USD Per Adult
  • Guide and porter’s food, accommodation, wages and insurance.

  • Lodging and food during the trek.

  • Transportation to Beshisahar, Daparani and from Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • Necessary Trek permit

  • Hotel on BB plan in Kathmandu & Pokhara

  • Airport pick up and drop
