At the same time, learn about modern research by our world-renowned scientists and the still unsolved secrets in our vast universe. Did you know Tromsø is also called the city of the northern lights? We are right under the aurora oval, which makes it the ideal starting point for our northern lights expedition. This is my favorite tour. I actually moved to Tromsø many years ago to live my life under the northern lights. Every night again, when I am out hunting the lights I am thrilled and excited and humbled by the majesty of our universe.

- This tour can start and end from any downtown hotel, cruise ship terminal or central point.
- The tour will vary a bit according to the starting point and depend very much on wind and weather.
- For this excursion, we follow the weather. Wherever the sky looks clearest is the direction we will be heading in. This might be either the outer islands with spectacular small islands and secluded beaches or towards the west into the inland of the Troms area with its mountains and fjords.
- Sometimes, it is only a one-hour drive to a good clear spot; other times, it takes two hours to a good spot.

What's Included
- The tour includes a limo with a driver or a taxi for two guests (For more guests, please ask for a customized tour with a quote)
- A hot drink (hot chocolate, coffee or tea) and a typical Norwegian snack.
What to bring
- Please dress well and be prepared for the weather conditions in Tromsø.
Know before you go
- I will not be able to be your driver, but I will arrange for a limo with a driver or taxi for your tour. For the car, it is better to book long-term in advance.
- Depending on weather conditions and the northern lights, the tour will last between four and five hours. As the northern lights are unpredictable (just like the weather up in the Arctic), this tour will be flexible and will be adapted to conditions.
- Whatever you would like to buy, credit cards work perfectly fine in Norway.
