  • Malaria is not a concern at all.

  • The scenic flight is superior in every single way of visiting Sossusvlei by road, 80% of what is seen on this flight physically cannot be seen by any road in Namibia, it goes up the Kuiseb River and Canyon to Sossusvlei, over to the inland shipwrecks and abandoned diamond-mining towns in the restricted mining area of Conception Bay, from there we go up the coast to Sandwich Harbor to the Pelican point and lagoon. All this while, you will not have to suffer through the horribly corrugated road to Sesriem and it also frees up about 3 days.

  • The flights depend on availability. Normally, within a day or two full flights are available. The activity is done by a third party.

  • Sandwich Harbor excursion over the dune is probably the single most awesome activity in Namibia.

Tour Reviews
  • Fernando

David is an excellent tour guide, who is very knowledgeable about Namibian and South African history. He is very organized, and punctual.  He took us to more places than we had initially agreed.

  • Greg

My wife and I were lucky enough to have found David to help us with our two week trip to Namibia. Namibia is an incredible country - it has breathtaking scenery and wildlife, but it was our time with David that truly brought the country to life.

David is a consummate guide. He is a wealth of information on a wide variety of topics, attentive to the needs of his clients, and a fantastic activity planner. But more than that he has a gigantic heart, an infectious passion for adventure and stops at nothing to provide the best possible experience for his clients.

For all future trips to Southern Africa David will be my first call - I could not recommend his services more highly.

  • Steven

David has a great knowledge of the country and is committed to doing the best job possible.

He drove, he found the animals, he took us to the best sites and even did the cooking.

For a road trip he is probably the best in the country.

  • Peter

I organized a trip for some friends that were working on a film project and we hired Davd as a guide. He was excellent. Reponsive, helpful, engaged and full of good ideas about where to go and what to see. I can't reccomend his services enough.

  • Iris

David is extremely professional from all aspects, plan the trip in more reasonable and efficient way, flexible, thoughtful, careful, always think from customers perspective. He is rich in knowledge across the country, he knows the habit of animals, willing to share and take us experience what local people do for holiday. He always do what is the best for us! He is the best tour guide I met ever! I’ll surely come back and visit again with more exciting activities!

We were on a 30 day safari in Namibia with David Ward as our guide. David is very informative, courteous, friendly and helpful. On our own (and we are avid travellers ourselves with knowledge of Namibia) we would not have seen, or experienced half of what we did with him as our guide. He has truly local knowledge and is very professional in letting you in on the secrets of the magic.

I can asure you there are no better guide around for travelling Namibia. Maybe equal, but not better. And the best is, he's services are affordable.

  • Jimmy

David is not simply a guide, but the best person you would like to have on a trip. He is very professional and friendly.

As a driver he was obviously very experienced and well equipt to handle the varying road conditions. Got us everywhere we needed to go in a safe manner. He made wonderful suggestions about places, activities and history throughout the region. We had the best experience during our two-week trip through the fantastic land of Namibia.

I would definitely recommend David's services to anyone looking for a great travel experience!

I had the opportunity and the privilege of having the guide David Ward during my trip in Namibia. He had organized and customized my travel itinerary very well, based on what I wanted to do and see during my trip. Another great aspect of his organization skills is that he was able to accommodate last minute changes due to unexpected circumstances very easily (i.e. delayed flight). I feel this is also very essential for travelers, where things can always go a bit wrong. What distinguishes a great guide is how she/he is able to handle these problems and figure out a workable solution right away. During my entire trip he would give me valuable information about all aspects of life in Namibia, which made me appreciate the situation of the country, and how it relates to tourism. David is exceptional at spoting animals, and finding them. He knows every knitty bit of detail about animal behavior, and this enabled me to get much more out of my trip in terms of not only seeing, but also watching animals and observing their behaviors. In addition, while we were driving, sometimes for hours at a time, he would always tell me about the details of the scenery, cities, and the people we were passing by. This makes his travelers much more aware about the surroundings. Not only is he a great guide, but he is also a great cook. During our trip, instead of eating out at expensive and not-particularly-delicious restaurants, we bought food together and he cooked them every night. The taste and the experience were phenomenal. Eating and drinking are very important aspects of traveling. David is aware of how important this is, and plans and arranges accordingly. Nothing beats a delicious and filling meal after a long trip in the desert!

Above all,the most important aspect of David is that he is very flexible and professional. He is able to figure out the solutions or an alternatives very easily, without stressing himself or his companions. Throughout my trip I felt very relaxed, and never felt anxious. It was pleasure traveling with David. I will definitely travel to Namibia again with him, but also to Angola together in the near future.

David took us to explore the beautiful nambia for 18 days. He was our guide plus driver, a very friendly and professional people who let us know many history, the nature, the costume about this country and its people. Davide is veryeasy going, talktive, honest,  and definitely as a friend of mine! strongly recommended !!

  • Ben

This guy really knows Namibia. No matter what your interests are, or where in the country you're headed, David has a great knowledge of the land, of interesting things to see and do, and of places to stay and places to eat. And better yet, if he doesn't know something, he knows lots of other people he can call on for help or advice. He's not afraid to refer you on to something that isn't in his wheelhouse if he thinks it is something you'll enjoy, and he has a lot of respect for your time, making sure you get the most out of your visit. Two thumbs up!

  • Elia
