Make a stop and enjoy your time at Ferringhi Beach. (Duration: 1 hour)
Visit a traditional fishing village.
Then explore Batik Factory to observe artisans shape wax and weave intricate patterns to create traditional Malaysian handicraft. (Duration: 1 hour)
Roam through Tropical Fruit Farm to learn about locally grown fruits and spices such as clove and nutmeg. (Duration: 30 minutes)
Make a stop at the renowned Snake Temple, which was built in 1850 in memory of a Chinese monk who sheltered jungle snakes. Inside Snake Temple, venomous pit vipers coil around temple altars, the reptiles supposedly made drowsy and harmless by incense smoke, but their venom removed for safety. (Duration: 30 minutes)
Explore one of the largest Chinese Buddhist temple complexes in Southeast Asia, Kek Lok Si Temple. The temple complex contains many pagodas, prayer halls and bell towers built in various styles including Chines, Burmese & Thai. A bronze statue of the goddess of mercy, Guanyin, looks down from the hill above the pagoda. (Duration: 30 minutes)
Hop on the funicular railway that takes a beautiful route to ascend to the peak of Penang Hill (800 m). Disembark at the top for an incredible view of the surrounding islands and mainland. (Duration: 1 hour)
When descending the hill, visit the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre and take a short lesson about crafting pewter. Learn 19th-century techniques for manipulating the versatile metal into a simple pewter bowl using basic hand tools. (Duration: 30 minutes)
