Description
Travel the country route of cheese and wine on our tour of the Ojos Negros Valley, located an hour east of Ensenada.
Our first stop is Vinicola Infinito. There, Pepe Pedrosa, owner and winemaker of the winery, will attend you. You will also have the opportunity to tour the vineyard and learn more about the world of wine. Vinicola Infinito is recognized for the excellent quality of the Shiraz grape, despite its sandy soil and extreme climates.
Afterwards, we will move to Rancho La Campana, where you can taste artisan cheeses paired with quality wines and other artisan products in the underground cellar of La Cava de Marcelo.
Learn about the Ramonetti family, making cheese and dairy since 1911, and the cheese-making process on a guided tour of their facilities.
Lunch at your gourmet restaurant located on the farm, on your own.

- We will pick you up from your hotel at 11:30 am and take you to the Ojos Negros Valley, about an hour drive from Ensenada to the first stop, La Cava de Marcelo at Rancho La Campana, an internationally recognized organic farm.
- Once you arrive, you can have a drink (own expense) while enjoying the patio or take pictures of this special place in the countryside, until the first guided tour begins, around 10-15 minutes later.
- On the tour, you will have a 15-minute walk to the granaries, where you will learn about crop production, livestock care, and the cheese-making process.
- Approximately 45 minutes later, you will return to the main farm building and we will take you to the underground cellar (not wheelchair accessible), where you can sink your teeth into quality cheeses during a tasting paired with house wine and other artisan products. (products vary according to season).
- After the tour, order lunch at the gourmet restaurant (own expense), whose menu features contemporary Mexican cuisine made with local ingredients from Ojos Negros and Valle de Guadalupe.
- All dairy products are fresh from Rancho La Campana cows.
- You will be taken back to your hotel around 6:00 pm. You will have bottled water and snacks during the tour.

You can pay with credit/debit card everywhere, but bring some cash for tipping and souvenirs.
No need to exchange USD with Mexican Pesos, as USD currency notes are accepted everywhere.
No ATM machines are available.

Only people from the same group of no more than 4 participants will be allowed.
Mandatory use of face mask during the tour for participants, guides, and drivers.
Implement of Safe Distancing (6 ft) in wineries, vineyards and restaurants.
Avoid close contact greetings with guides/drivers and hosts in wineries, vineyards and restaurants.

Sanitization of vehicles before, during, and after the tour.
Installation of plastic panels separating the front and rear of the vehicle.
Participants will be provided with a cooler with bottled water and snacks properly sanitized.
Participants shall be responsible for the transfer to the vehicle of purchased wine bottles and products.
Health Policy
Before starting the tour, the guide/driver will inform the participants about the hygiene protocols.
Before entering the vehicle the guide/driver will measure the body temperature with an infrared thermometer to each participant. A measurement greater than 37.5 C or 99.5 F will be considered as fever and you won't be able to take the tour.
If any of the participants have the following symptoms: fever, fatigue, dry cough and shortness of breath, then you will be informed that you will not be able to participate in the tour.
It's participants' responsibility to inform if he/she was in contact with a person with covid19 in the last 5 days, and he/she won't be able to take the tour.
Before, during and at the end of the route, you will be provided with antibacterial gel with a minimum alcohol concentration of 70%.
Before, during and at the end of the tour, the appropriate use of the face mask shall be reviewed.
The vehicle will be sanitized with germicide spray at every stop during the tour after the participants leave the vehicle.
If at any stop the facility seems to be very crowded, the guide/driver must make a visual evaluation of the risk of contagion before the participants enter and decide actions to minimize the risk of contagion.
Participants will be asked to avoid direct contact with surfaces exposed to contamination.
At the end of the tour, the vehicle will be cleaned, sanitized and disinfected.
