Description
Visit the magical Mayan villages of Yucatan to interact with the Mayan lifestyle and climb the Mayan temple at Yaxunah.
Yaxunah is a mayan city that was under the control of the famous Chichen Itza, is located at 10 kilometers from this.
Our first visit will be the archeological site of Yaxuna where your mayan guide will explain every detail of the buildings and glyfts, we visit the observatory, ballcourt and sacbe that is a road made with lime stone to conect to other mayan cities.
Later we move to the town to visit the local museum, and you wil have free time to swim at the local cenote that is in the heart of the town, then we take our lunch while the locals provide a show of the "mayan warriors dance".
In the second part we visit the colonial city of Valladolid, the visit includes the access to the convent of San Bernardinos that is decorated with catolic art, the catedral that was build using the rocks from the mayan cities, and you will have free time to explore the market and the main plaza where you can take incredibles pictures, taste local food and buy good souvenirs.
