Embark on an adventurous tour to prominent places of Madagascar, starting from the Peyrieras Reptile Reserve to see reptiles and visit theNational Gendarmerie Museum.   • Day 1: Arrival at the International Airport of Tana expand_more
    • Arrive at Tana International Airport and check-in at the proposed hotel:

  • Day 2: Tana - Moramanga - Andasibe expand_more
    • After breakfast, meet your tour guide at the designated meeting point and proceed along the RN2 to the east of Tana. 

    • Stop at Peyrieras Reptile Reserve to spot the reptiles of Madagascar. It's an excellent opportunity to get close and personal with these fantastic animals.

    • Have lunch in Moramanga, after a further 40 km of driving. 

    • Visit the National Gendarmerie Museum, where you can see the original exhibits related to the peace & the criminal act. 

    • Arrive at Andasibe late in the afternoon and settle in the hotel. 

    • There is an option for a night walk to spot the nocturnal lemurs, the smallest lemurs in the world.

  • Day 3: Andasibe National Park expand_more
    • Embark on your morning expedition to encounter the Indri, the world’s biggest lemurs with its almost invisible tail. 

    • See other species of lemurs such as the brown lemur, bamboo lemur, woolly lemur and other animals such as chameleons, giraffe-necked weevil. The National Park of Andasibe hosts a lot of animals - 108 species of birds are there to be known in the park.

    • Visit the private reserve of Vakoana in the afternoon to watch lemurs from close quarters. This is the best place to see them, feed them bananas and stroke them.

  • Day 4: Andasibe - Antsirabe expand_more
    • Proceed to Antsirabe, famous for its thermal pools, which are rich in healing properties. The town attracts many locals and tourists due to its cool climate and location. Antsirabe is also the capital of rickshaws, and THB, the local beer.

    • Be sure to enjoy the taste of a true Malagasy beer whilst here.

    • An option is to visit the two crater lakes of Andraikiba and Tritriva. Legend says that two young lovers were forbidden to marry, so they jumped into Tritriva and ended up drowning.

  • Day 5: Antsirabe - Miandrivazo expand_more
    • Before heading west, you have the option of visiting a famous crystal factory in Antsirabe. 

    • Drive westwards to Miandrivazo, the hottest town in Madagascar, and our starting point of the famous river descent of Tsiribihina.

    • Shop at a great market for things that can be utilised during the river adventures, such as hats, sunscreen or clothes.

  • Day 6: River descent expand_more
    • Spend a full day canoeing and watching the wonderful birdlife, lemurs, bats, and swim in freshwater pools and waterfalls. 

    • You will have the opportunity to try paddling and meet fishermen who will offer fresh fish. Children from the surrounding villages will follow you from time to time, running on the riverbank.

    • In the evening, set up a camp at the riverside. Enjoy spectacular sunsets, drinks and snacks, whilst another meal is getting prepared for you. Campfire, songs, local stories, and laughter will make this river trip an exciting and extraordinary time in a wildly beautiful and remote setting that is so hard to find in the modern world. 

    • Get welcomed by the local children saying "Salama Vazaha" (hello, white people) who are very happy even with few possessions.

  • Day 7: Tsiribihina River expand_more
    • Cross the Tsirbhina River.

    • Enjoy a warm campfire.

  • Day 8: River Antseraraka expand_more
    • Arrive at Andadoany village and then continue to Antseraraka in a "zebu car".

    • When you reach Antseraraka, you will stay in a rustic bungalow.

  • Day 9: Antseraraka - Bekopaka expand_more
    • Head to Belon'i Tsiribihina and cross the ferry to reach Bekopaka by 4WD.

    Lunch will be at Belo and dinner at Bekopaka

  • Day 10: Tsingy expand_more
    •  A 4WD will pick you up to reach the Tsingy de Bemaraha, 17 km north of Bekopaka village.

    • Visit the big Tsingy in the morning and the small one in the afternoon.

  • Day 11: Bekopaka - Morondava expand_more
    • Drive back to Morondava, stop at Belo for lunch, cross the ferry again, and continue to Morondava.

    • Stop at the Sacred baobab or the Avenue of Baobab for sunset photos. 

    • After a great time at the Avenue of Baobab, drive to Morondava for 19 km and overnight at any of the proposed hotels:

  • Day 12: Tana expand_more
    • Fly back to Tana and check-in at any of the proposed hotels:

    • Before your transfer to Tana International Airport, you will be offered a free city tour, depending on your time. This can be the visit to Lemur's Park, located 23 km west of Tana or the Queen's Palace, located 18 km north of Tana.

    • After this, there will be shopping time at La Route Digue on the way to the airport.

  • The Tsiribihina River is one of the best places to enjoy nature, birdlife, and animals and observe how locals do their daily activities. They are always happy to see visitors passing by.

  • Each day, you will have lunch in a beautiful spot, and great, healthy meals will be cooked for you.

  • The Tsingy is also home to several different species of lemurs, such as Decken's Sifaka, Red Fronted Brown Lemur, Grey Mouse Lemur, and Milne Edward's Sportive Lemur. Abundant birdlife includes Coquerel's Coua, Sickle Billed Vanga, White-Headed Vanga and many kinds of reptiles.
