Embark on a journey through Madagascar for its unique sites and stunning countryside. Gaze upon the giant Baobabs trees, mysterious rock formations called Tsingy, majestic canyons of Isalo, native wildlife, and charming villages.

DAY 01


  • Depart after breakfast to reach Antsirabe from Antananarivo (TANA) with your Madagascar guide. This stop is done to break the long journey to Morondava, and it will take you around 1500mt above sea level. The city was founded in 1872 by Norwegian missionaries and the name means "place with lots of salt". This, for Madagascar, is an elegant town, but for visitors instead, it represents the agricultural and industrial center of the country in which local beer is produced it is also a famous place for Zebu horn craftsmanship.

  • On the way to the city, you will stop at a laboratory where pots and iron objects are produced.

DAY 02


  • The departure today will be very busy; the road to reach Morondava is very long and you will slowly descend towards sea level crossing desert areas where you will occasionally see along the road of the tiny villages. The green of agricultural crops leaves room for the deserts of Madagascar.

  • Arrive in Morondava probably before sunset and, if you want, you can go directly to Allee des Baobabs (Avenue of the Baobabs or  Alley of the Baobabs) to enjoy the sunset in the image that probably represents Madagascar in the world.

  • After sunset, you will continue to the hotel where you will dine.

DAY 03


  • After breakfast, continue to the forest of Kirindy where you can spot lemurs, fossa and with luck see some chameleon.

  • Then day continues to reach Bekopaka by crossing the ferry on the Tsiribihina river and the Manambolo river.

DAY 04


  • Today you will visit one of the most beautiful and emblematic places of Madagascar, the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. Departure will be around 7 am after breakfast.

  • After about 30 minutes of driving, and having taken care of them entry practices to the National Park, with the guide, you will begin this exciting adventure in which with the harness you will climb the famous Tsingy, which in Malagasy means pointed, until you reach the summit from which to observe a stone forest.

  • Cross a wooden bridge suspended above this tisingy that will make the adventure adrenaline.

  • Eat the packed lunch in the caves, in the cool, in which probably some mongooses will come to visit you.

  • Return to Bekopaka in the early afternoon to rest of the day off (you can rest and take a bath in the pool).

  • In the evening, if you want, you can take a night walk of about 1 hour, to see the chameleons (activities).

DAY 05


  • Early morning departure after breakfast. The return to Morondava will again the arrival is scheduled in the afternoon.

  • If you have already seen the sunset in Allee des Baobabs, you can go to the hotel and after check-in, drink a beer in one of the little bars on the sea where you can watch the sunset.

DAY 06


  • Early morning departure, around 6.30, to reach Belo Sur Mer. Today start with the off-road which takes about 5 days to complete about 350 km! You will go through some desert areas where the white of the sand and the remnants of salt make the new and fascinating landscape.

  • Arrive in Belo Sur Mer around lunchtime, around 2 pm, and have the afternoon free to discover this delightful, and tiny, fishing village that yes transforms according to the tides. This town is famous for the construction of boats and pirogues that are still made in mono, here you can visit the construction site.

DAY 07


  • Today after breakfast drive to Manja On the way, you will see different landscapes and baobabs and stay overnight in Hotel Kanto which is not particularly attractive but it is the only accommodation solution in Manja. The rooms are basic and basic. Obligatory passage hotel for those following the off-road route between Morondava and Tulear.

DAY 08


  • Departure in the morning immediately after breakfast to continue with the guide to Morombe, a little one fishing village on the coast. This will be the last particularly challenging section before getting to the wonderful Salary Bay.

  • Arrive at the village around 16.30, so you will have some time, before it gets dark, to walk along the beach or visit the village (rather small).

  • Spend the night in Morombe.

DAY 09


  • The probably most beautiful stretch of coast in the country is found here. Miles of white sand and sea turquoise su pirogue sailors make this magical place and repay for long days necessary to achieve it.

DAY 10


  • Late morning departure to reach Ifaty, the last village on the coast before starting the way back to Antananarivo. Ifaty is a small seaside village, along the beach you can do shopping among the stalls or a dip in the pool, or at the sea.

  • Arrival in the afternoon.

  • Free evening.

DAY 11


  • Departure in the morning after breakfast from Ifaty to reach Ranohira along the legendary RN7. From the coast, you will enter and drive through the highlands of the country. Route Nationale 7 (RN7) is one main road in Madagascar that runs 980 km from the capital Antananarivo to Tulear, on the south-west coast of the country. Cross the regions of Analamanga, Vakinankaratra, Amoron'i Mania, Haute Matsiatra, Ihorombe and Atsimo-Andrefana.

  • Arrival in Ranohira before sunset.

  • Free evening.

DAY 12


  • Trekking to the National park of l'Isalo. Early morning departure for the last real adventure in Madagascar, a trek of about 8 hours among the majestic canyons of the Isalo that will end in the forest between Lemurs and Chameleons. The Isalo National Park is located 226 km south-west of Fianarantsoa and extends over one area of 81,540 hectares of land characterized by grasslands, sandstone massifs carved by the wind and water that create a landscape of striking beauty. Inside the park, there are 55 species of birds, 3 species of lemurs (Catta, the black-headed lemur and Verreaux's Sifaka). In the driest areas the Pachipodium blooms between September and October.

  • The main attraction of the park is certainly constituted by the rock formations, the canyons and the natural pools, ideal for a refreshing bath. The forest vegetation is concentrated in the part low in the canyons where there is water, the Uapaca Bojeri tree is endemic to this area fire-resistant; on the rocks grow other endemic plants such as the pachypodium and the paws of an elephant (Aloe isaloenis).

  • In the Park, there are different types of routes which can be accessed from different areas. It is recommended to take the route of about 8 hours, with a lunch break included, which leads to the natural pools, to Canyon des Singes. The route can be decided with the guide who is always available to accompany you along the path you prefer.

DAY 13


  • Early morning departure because the road will be long to return to Antsirabe. You are already on the legendary RN7 that connects Antananarivo with Tuelar, and that is a journey in the journey, so much to be able to make a separate circuit, but today during the many hours of driving you will pass through scenarios quickly changing. You will pass through mountain villages, rice fields and breathtaking views. Nature changes again, reminding you how majestic and different this country is to end in beauty but above all leaving us with the desire to return as soon as possible and find out how much we didn't have time to do in just 2 weeks.

  • Arrive in Antsirabe in the late afternoon.

  • Drive from Antsirabe - Antananarivo - Airport. Antsirabe is about 3 hours from the capital. Departure from the city will depend on the departure time from Tana.
