  • Ourika Valley from Marrakech expand_more
    • The valley is located about 45 minutes from Marrakech. However, there are about 30 kilometres between the town of Ourika -where you can say the valley begins, and Setti Fatma, where it ends. You can contemplate the best views. In this last section, the winding road runs alongside a small river that anticipates the landscapes that will be contemplated later and has enough restaurants to enjoy a delicious lunch by the river.
    • The seven waterfalls, of which only the last two can be seen in the lower part of the mountain, are a half hour's walk from the village, always up a stony mountain road. With a bit of good orientation - especially if you hire a guide with the help of your driver and you take as orientation the souvenir stalls and the restaurants. The guide will help you climb the waterfalls, and he will help you take some photos and make some further travel through the mountains on foot and learn more about areas of the valley where few tourists arrive.
    • The road to reach the waterfalls runs parallel to the streams from the mountains and between lots of vegetation. After visiting the waterfalls, you can enjoy a delicious tajine by the river or on the panoramic terrace, as if it were a picnic. Highly recommended.
    • By the afternoon and around 5 PM, we will drive back to your accommodation in Marrakech.

Know before you go
  • Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco, with almost 4 million inhabitants and the largest artificial port in the world. However, it has no ferry service of any kind. Casablanca is also the most liberal and progressive city in Morocco. Designer brands are the norm in the city's wealthy neighbourhoods, and much of the Moroccan youth speak exclusively in French. But not everyone is living the Casablanca dream. Tens of thousands of Moroccans fled the rural areas of the interior devastated by the drought in search of work in the city, struggling with high rates of unemployment and housing shortages. Poverty, prevalent in poor neighbourhoods on the city's outskirts, has led to high crime rates, drug use, prostitution and the growth of Islamism.
