This is a wonderful Atlas mountains day trip from Marrakech, that includes meeting the Berbers, exploring mountain country and visiting a stunning waterfall. As we start the day, we’ll guide you through the landscape and tell you about the history of the area – from the red city walls of Marrakech to the plains, the multitudes of green valleys, the gorges, the rivers, and of course, the waterfalls.

Just an hour and a half drive from Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains are like a different world. In the cool, fresh mountain air, you will have a chance to stop and take in the scenery and the atmosphere and even visit an original Berber house and learn about their ancient traditions. They will welcome you and show you how to make traditional Amazigh Moroccan mint tea. When we get to the last village, we will take a guided walk along some attractive trails and through some villages to reach the waterfall.

Our lunch will be delicious and full of flavor and served with a local Berber family. It will then be a half hour of walking back to the car before we return to Marrakesh at around 5pm.
