    Medina Discovery

    • Begin your tour with a walk through one of the most interesting quarters of Marrakech. Stroll along labyrinthine alleyways, catching glimpses of mosques, hammams, traditional public bakeries, fondouks (old lodging houses used by the caravans) and fountains carved in wood and decorated with inscriptions. Visit the principle attractions, beginning with the 14th century Ben Youssef Madrasa. 

    • Continue to the nearby 12th century Kubba El Baroudyine, noted for its beautiful dome, which is the last surviving example of Almoravid art in Marrakech.

    Menebhi Palace & Souks

    • Proceed to visit the nearby 19th century Menebhi palace, owned by a Moroccan vizier and built in the pure Moroccan urban style of architecture of the period. 

    • Continue on foot through the colourful souks which are classified according to goods sold and where you can see craftsmen practicing their traditional art.

    Djemma el Fna Square

    • Emerge onto the lively Djemma el Fna Square. Mingle with the popular entertainers, musicians, acrobats, snake charmers, storytellers and water sellers on our way up to one of the terraces overlooking the antics of the square.

    The Koutoubia Mosque & Gardens

    • Stop by the largest mosque in Marrakech, Morocco. The minaret was completed under the reign of the Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur  (1184-1199) and was used as the model for the Giralda of Seville and for the Hassan Tower of Rabat.

    El Bahia Palace

    • Visit the El Bahia Palace in Marrakech which is a beautiful building and an excellent example of Eastern Architecture from the 19th century that represents trends and standards of the wealthy who lived at that time.

    The Saadian Tombs

    • Explore the Saadian tombs in Marrakech which date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur (1578–1603). The tombs were only recently discovered (in 1917) and were restored by the Beaux-arts service.

    The Jewish Mellah

    • Head to the Jewish Mellah. Founded in 1558 by Moulay Abdallah, the Mellah district was designated as the Jewish quarter in Marrakech.

    The Old Spice Market

    • Walk around the spice market.
