Early morning pick up from your Riad in Marrakesh and head to Dades Valley by driving through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m). Glistening landscapes are to be vividly witnessed and the majestic Berber dwellings that are scattered over the mountains all make for rewarding stops for unique shots. 

Visit the Telouet Kasbah of the former Pasha el Glaoui, even though the huge structures are crumbling but still impressive and worth a visit. 

Drive to Ait Ben Haddou village whose stunning Kasbahs have been recently a backdrop of well-known Hollywood movies. Its strategic location is on the former caravan trading route for salt, gold and ivory between Marrakesh and the Sahara. 

After lunch, drive through Ouarzazate, Skoura, the rose valley and then at the Dades Valley in which you spend the night.

Head further south-east from Dades Valley to Merzouga via Todgha Gorge (the most beautiful palm oasis valley in Morocco and the stunning cliffs that pile up 110 meters and just 15 meters wide). 

Upon arrival to the desert, saddle up your camels for an exotic journey through the sand dune field of Erg Chebbi, that stands like an ocean, for approximately 2 hrs to reach your camp where to overnight in a traditional Berber tent. 

Enjoy dinner which will be prepared for you and served by your Berber guide.

In the early morning, you will be woken up by your guide to welcome the new day by attending the magnificent panoramic view of the sunrise illuminating the desert. 

Return to the hotel on the saddle of your camels for a shower and breakfast. 

After breakfast, time to depart and head north along the scenic Ziz valley where the mountainous formations are just awesome; cross the Middle Atlas and stop near Azrou to visit the cedar forests that incorporate the colony of Barbary apes.
