Travel by bicycles


Explore the Curonian Spit and the most popular Lithuanian seaside resort, whilst riding a bicycle at your own pace. Most cycle tracks are asphalt lanes that stretch along the Baltic coast, with several miles-long ride in the forest or on country roads.

DAY 01

Arrival in Klaipeda

  • Arrive in Klaipeda and take a walking tour around the city with your Klaipeda tour guide. 

Overnight in Klaipeda.

DAY 02

Klaipeda- Palanga and back

  • Leave the hotel on your bicycles and ride all the way to Palanga. The cycle track stretches across the Seaside Regional Park.

  • On your way, make a stop next to the largest precipice of Lithuania called the Dutchman’s Cap. Palanga is the most popular seaside resort in Lithuania. It is home to the historic Tiskeviciai Palace and the Amber Museum. 

  • Enjoy a leisurely walk along the pedestrian promenade, which leads onto the bridge to the sea (a 34-mile-long bike ride back).

Overnight in Klaipeda.

DAY 03

Klaipeda -Vente Cape- Silute

  • Take a bus ride to the Klaipeda region of Memelland. The cycle track starts next to the Canal Guillaume and stretches along the Curonian Lagoon.

  • On your way, pay a visit to old fishermen villages, Draverna and Kintai.

  • In Ventes Cape, you will be greeted by the staff of local bird ringing station, who will tell you more about bird ringing practices and techniques.

  • Next, continue riding towards Silute. (Total around 34-mile-long bike ride and about an 18-mile-long bus trip.)

Overnight stay in Silute.

DAY 04


  • On this day, go all the way to Nemunas Delta, which is home to a nature reserve.

  • On your way, pass the historic Bismarck’s colony and a bridge until you reach Rusne Island. The Lithuanian-Russian border is located at the approximate middle of the Neman/Memel river.

  • In Rusne, you can always grab some freshly smoked fish sold by the local fishermen. 

  • Reach your next stop, Uostadvaris, home to an old lighthouse and water pumping station.

  • From there, you will be sailing on a ship to Nida. (Around a 10-mile-long bike ride and about a 9-mile-long trip with ferry)

Overnight stay in Nida.

DAY 05

Nida (around 6-mile-long bike ride)

  • Take a tour of Nida – the pearl of the Baltic coast with your Lithuania tour guide.

  • Get a chance to visit the great Parnidis Dune, the summer residence and museum of the Nobel prize-winning author, Thomas Mann and the local amber gallery, old fishermen cemetery and the Museum of a historic artists’ colony. 

  • After a hearty lunch, take a dip in the sea or a pleasant walk around Nida.

Overnight stay in Nida.

DAY 06

Nida-Klaipeda (around 34-mile-long bike ride)

  • Go on a bike ride along the Curonian Spit on an asphalt cycle track on the coast of the Baltic Sea.

  • On your way, visit the so-called dead dunes, a spooky cormorant colony and the Hill of Witches. Subject to weather conditions, you will be also provided with an opportunity to take a swim in the sea. 

  • Arrive in Smiltyne and take a ferry trip to the Klaipeda Old Town. 

Overnight stay in Klaipeda.

DAY 07


  • Depart or extend your journey.
