DAY 01

Arrival in Sri Lanka

  • Get received at the airport and drive to Negombo, around 20 minutes away.

Overnight stay in Negombo.

DAY 02

Towards Sigiriya

  • Drive to Sigiriya with your Sri Lankan guide/driver.

  • En-route, stop and visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which is popular with tourists and locals alike. Here, adults and baby elephants from around Sri Lanka are cared for, and a captive breeding program is also proving to be highly successful.

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

DAY 03

Visit the Sigiriya Rock

  • After breakfast, proceed to yet another UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka - Sigiriya, which is a wonderful ancient palace built atop a 660 feet tall rock column. This wonderful rock castle is a creation of King Kassapa (AD 477 – 495). Sigiriya is one of the most attractive historical sites in Sri Lanka and is famous for its stunning frescoes.

  • In the afternoon around 2.30 pm, it is a good time to go on a safari in the Kaudulla National Park or Minneriya National Park which is home to hundreds of wildlife elephants.

DAY 04

Towards Kandy

  • After breakfast, set off to discover the most famous for the cave temples and also for the iconic golden temple. One of the eight world heritage sites in Sri Lanka, Dambulla heritage site has a history that dates back to the prehistoric and proto-historic times, till the modern period. 

  • On your way to Kandy, it is worth stopping over at Dambulla and catch a glimpse of these wonderful cave temples, ironwood forest, rose quartz mountain.

  • While back, can visit a spice garden.

Overnight stay in Hill Capital Kandy.

DAY 05

Kandy City

  • After breakfast, go shopping at the Kandy Market Square, do some souvenir hunting and look out for intricate treasures in wood, copper, silver, brass, ebony, bronze, handlooms, batiks and gems.

  • In the evening, pay homage to the tooth relic of Lord Buddha in the Temple of the Tooth or Dalada Maligawa.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

DAY 06

Move on Nuwara Eliya

  • After breakfast, head towards Nuwara Eliya, a city of leisure and pleasure. Nuwara Eliya, which is the old colonial outpost is still referred to as "Little England".

  • En-route, visit the Tea Factory.

  • Visit the Ramboda Waterfalls.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 07

Visit the World End

  • After breakfast, visit "World's End" where Horton Plains exist.

  • Rest of the day, you can visit Gregory Lake and enjoy the most beautiful highland sceneries in Sri Lanka.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 08

Will head towards Yala

  • After breakfast, leave for Yala National Park.

  • En-route, visit Rawana Waterfall, and enjoy the most beautiful highland sceneries in Sri Lanka.

  • In the afternoon, explore the Yala National Wildlife Park. Yala is one of Sri Lanka's premier eco-tourism destination, where one can closely watch leopards, elephants and unique varieties of birds.

Overnight stay in Yala.

DAY 09

Visit the South Coast

  • After breakfast, travel to the South coast for an Excursion to the Fort of Galle – A UNESCO Heritage site. It was built in 1588 by Portuguese in a 52-ha area in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Later taken over by the Dutch during the 17th century, the Fort of Galle is a monument of great historical, archaeological and architectural value. The fort was declared an archaeological reserve by the United Nations since 1969.

  • Take off some time to relax on the beach for the rest of your day.

Overnight stay in Mirissa.

DAY 10

Departure

  • Drop off at the airport. End of tour.
