DAY 01

Airport – Negombo

  • Meet your Sri Lankan driver/guide at the airport for a transfer to the fishing village of Negombo, located near the airport so you can relax after a long flight. Negombo is certainly not just to relax on the beach, but this coastal city has a rich history to share with you.

DAY 02

Dambulla – Habarana

  • After breakfast, depart to the cultural triangle at the centre of the island. 

  • Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site), the most impressive cave temple in Sri Lanka. 

  • Stay overnight in Sigiriya / Habarana.

Stay at Hotel Wewa Addara Sigiriya: Hotel Wewa Addara is situated on the banks of Kayanwala Lake Tank, which provides water to the farmers in the entire area. Access road covers with paddy fields.

DAY 03

Polonnaruwa – Minneriya National Park

  • After breakfast, visit Polonnaruwa; this ancient city is rich in monasteries and Buddhist remains from this kingdom. The most interesting of all would be the ‘Gal Vihara’, meaning the rock temple. You can also visit the Archaeological Museum in Polonnaruwa, on your way back to Habarana.

  • In the afternoon, prepare yourself for a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park. This park is home to one of the largest gatherings of Asian Elephants in the world.

  • Stay overnight in Habarana/ Sigiriya.

  • Optional:

    • Make an elephant back safari into the jungle at Habarana.

    • Visit a traditional village to experience the lifestyle.

Stay at Hotel Wewa Addara Sigiriya: Hotel Wewa Addara is situated on the banks of Kayanwala lake Tank which Provides water to the farmers in the entire area. Access road covers with Paddy fields takes you to the hotel through the waters of the tanks.

DAY 04

Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy

  • After breakfast, visit one of Asia’s most spectacular cultural sites of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Only the fit and adventurous will be able to climb the summit, but all can enjoy the ancient ruins and wonderful sights around the base and halfway through the hike. It's home to water gardens, frescoes and ancient graffitis.

  • Transfer to Kandy and en-route visit Matale Aluvihare Temple, where Buddhist doctrines were first documented on Ola leaves in the 1st century after being passed orally for generations. 

  • Visit the Spice Garden at Matale to learn about species and their use in Sri Lankan cuisines.

  • Stay overnight in Kandy.

DAY 05

Pinnaweal – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

  • After a good breakfast at the hotel, visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela with your local tour guide.

  • In the morning, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden at Peradeniya which is well-known for its collection of over 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. 

  • Depart towards Nuwara Eliya, called ‘Little England’ for its Victorian-era structures and mild weather. 

  • Visit the tea factory to see how the tea you drink is produced. It’s also worth to visit Gregory Lake in the evening.

  • Stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 06

Yala National Park

  • Transfer to Yala after breakfast.

  • On the way, visit Ella & Rawana Falls.

  • Reach the hotel in Yala and prepare yourself for a safari at the most visited and popular park in the country, Yala National Park. Here, catch the sight of the Sri Lankan Leopard, Asian Elephant, and many other mammals and birds in their natural habitat.

  • Stay overnight in Thissa.

Stay at Blue Turtle Hotel: Just 30 minutes from the Yala National Park, the most popular in Sri Lanka, famed for having one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

DAY 07

Colombo City Tour & Departure - Extension

  • After breakfast, set out for Colombo via Galle.

  • Make a stop at Koggala along the way to see the unique stilt fishermen.

  • Take a break in Galle City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, visit the Galle Lighthouse, and enjoy a small tour of the Dutch fort and go shopping at the local market.

  • In the afternoon, explore the city of Colombo. The highlights of this city include Ayurvedic centres, Dutch Architecture of Pettah, Colonial-era remains, forts, Galle Face Green, Independence Square, Old Parliament House and Beira Lake surroundings

  • 650 USD Per Adult , 40 USD Per Child (* Minimum 2 Persons; No charges for infants; Extra charges for additional beds)
  • Both airport transfers and transportation in an air-conditioned car/van/bus.

  • English speaking Sri Lankan driver from arrival to departure.

  • Sri Lankan guide fees - where necessary.

  • Accommodation in economic, 2 and 3-star hotels, air-conditioned share rooms with attached toilets.

  • All breakfast. (Option to upgrade to dinners at the rate of $8 a night.)

  • From 20th Dec to Jan, there will be a supplement of $15 added per room per day, due to Christmas peak seasons.

  • The child has to share the bed with their parents.
