DAY 01

airport / Kandy

  • Be given a warm welcome as you come out of the airport by our representative, your very first taste of Sri Lankan hospitality along with a gleaming smile known and famous worldwide. “Ayubowan” is the traditional way of saying Welcome. 

  • Start your journey with the transfer to Kandy which is a World Heritage Site and was the last capital and stronghold of the Sri Lankan Kings until the British take over in the year 1815. Kandy is one of the most sacred sites for the Buddhists and is the Center of Buddhism for the Buddhists in Sri Lanka and the world over as it houses the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha, at the temple known as “Dalada Maligawa.” Kandy also is popular for arts and craft, Sri Lankan dancing, music and culture. 

  • As you arrive in Kandy you will be given a city tour – a drive around the Bogambara (Kandy) lake, upper lake, the busy streets and a visit to the Gem Museum.

  • Late evening witness a Cultural Show featuring the various Dance types of the country which will end with a Firewalking Performance and then visit the “Dalada Maligawa” on time to witness the Pooja (Ceremony) where you could see the outer most casket of seven which enshrines the Sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. 

  • Check into the hotel and the evening will be at leisure.  

 Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy. 

DAY 02

kandy / peradeniya / nuwara eliya

  • After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Peradeniya with your Sri Lankan tour guide. 

  • Explore the Royal Botanical Gardens which is of 147 acres in land extent, attracts over 2 million visitors annually and 460 meters above sea level. The garden includes more than 4000 plants from all over the world, extensive well-kept lawns and pavilion. The Cannonball tree planted by King George V and Queen Mary of the United Kingdom in 1901, the Giant Java Fig Tree and the Orchid House is of interest to any visitor to the gardens. 

  • Proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is known as Little England as it was established in 1846 by Sir Samuel Baker, a hill country retreat for the colonialists and still retain features from the colonial period. The city is overlooked by the tallest mountain (Piduruthalagala) of the island. The city is 1868 meters above sea level and is the most important location for the tea plantation. Lake Gregory was constructed during the period of Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873.   

  • On the way, make a stop at Ramboda to capture the beautiful waterfall and visit a tea plantation you would be given a tour of the factory and you could taste a pure BOP cup of tea.  

  • Do a city tour of Nuwara Eliya and in the evening do a walk around the Lake Gregory in the cool climate of the city.  

Dinner and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. 

DAY 03

nuwara eliya / kitulgala / bentota

  • After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Bentota via Kitulgala. 

  • On the way, make stops at St. Clair and Devon Waterfalls with your Sri Lankan tour guide. 

  • Begin your White-Water Rafting adventure. Kitulgala was a sleepy village in the west of the island and gets rain from both the monsoons that Sri Lanka receives each year. It is in the wet zone and is one of the wettest places. The village came to light after the award-winning movie “The Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed on the Kelani River adjoining the village. Today it is very popular for White-Water Rafting, adventure-based training programs and bird watching.

  • On completion, head to Bentota which is a coastal town in the South West and a popular tourist destination and for all kinds of water sports and if you wish to have some more adventure - Para-motoring (Optional).  

Dinner and overnight stay in Bentota. 

DAY 04

bentota / kosgoda / Colombo

  • After breakfast, proceed to visit a turtle hatchery. 

  • On completion, you will be transferred to Colombo with a short train ride along the coast. Colombo is the financial and commercial capital and the largest city by population. It was a small seaport and came into prominence in the 16th century with the arrival of the Portuguese. It was developed as a major port by the British. Today the city is a mix of old and new, red tiled old colonial buildings, new high-rise hotels, apartments and shopping malls.  

Dinner and overnight stay in Colombo. 

DAY 05

colombo / airport

  • After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to do a city tour of Colombo. 

  • Drive through the hustle and bustle of the Colombo roads. 

  • Visit and see the Galle Face Green, Old Parliament, Pettah and Fort area, Cinnamon Gardens, Independence Square, BMICH, Hindu Temple, Gangarama Temple and other places of interest to the tourist. 

  • Be transferred to the airport on time for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of this island nation.

  • Shared or twin accommodation in one Double room on Half Board Basis (Dinner and Breakfast)  

  • Entrance fees as per the itinerary - Temple Of The Tooth Relic / Peradeniya Botanical Gardens / Cultural Performance / White Water Rafting / Turtle Hatchery.  

  • The services of an English speaking Sri Lankan tour guide/chauffeur in an air-conditioned private car as per the itinerary from arrival to departure.
