Negombo-Sri Lanka

Unwind on Sri Lankan beaches in the bright sun and smooth sand. Check out the waves at Arugam Bay located on the southeast coast. You will also be stopping by the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Cave Temple, rock fortress, colonial buildings and more. 

DAY 01


Highlights - Negombo leisure beach

  • On this day of the tour, you will be welcomed by the tour representative. Then you will be transferred to Negombo. On your way to Negombo, you can find out different lifestyles of Sri Lankan people. It might be a small distance but you will learn a lot about it.

  • After you came to the hotel, you can go to the beach and feel some fresh air and you can enjoy the beautiful scenarios of the beach and you can relax your beautiful day.

DAY 02


Highlights - Dutch Fort in Negombo and water sports

  • After delicious breakfast, enjoy yourself in Negombo. Fine sandy beaches of Negombo has been mostly unexplored but less crowded as most tourists use the town for the first or the last night of their stay in Sri Lanka. That is where the advantage where you have the beach mostly to yourself. Nevertheless, those who have identified its secrets have been visiting the town year after year. Fine beach stretches are superbly maintained by the hotels while some are always busy with fisherman and their equipment. Equipment for water sports such as diving, windsurfing is available at most hotels and private vendors.

DAY 03


Highlights - Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts center, a gem museum, Kandy lake, a lapidary and Temple of the tooth

  • In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel.

  • After that, you will be taken to Kandy. Kandy was the previous capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures a vision of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. The Kandy Lake was constructed by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798.

  • Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary.

  • Explore the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy.

  • Thereafter witness a cultural show.

DAY 04


Highlights - Dambulla rock temple, Iron Wood Forest, Rose Quartz Mountain and Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium

  • In the morning, post enjoying yummy breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, you will be taken to Dambulla, famous for Dambulla Rock Temple which dates back to 1st century BC. This temple was constructed by King Walagambahu and today stands as a renowned World Heritage Site. You are sure to be awe-struck gazing at these impressive cave temples of Sri Lanka. The temple's complex has five caves adorned with more than 2000 sq. m of painted walls and ceilings. Hence the temple owns the reputation of being the largest area of paintings found around the world. This beautiful temple comprises of over 150 Buddha images of which the largest is the giant structure of the Buddha carved out of the rock.

DAY 05


Highlights - Sigiriya rock and Sigiriya Museum

  • Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel.

  • Climb Sigiriya rock fortress that is a world heritage site, constructed by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD) in the 5th century. The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the cleanse forest. The rock was the innermost behold of the 70 hectares equipped town. A moat, rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock.

  • Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a protected pocket of the rock approached by a curved stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

DAY 06

Dambulla/Sigiriya/Arugam Bay

Highlights - Pottuvil point and Crocodile rock

  • Eat breakfast at the hotel.

  • After your breakfast, you will be taken to the Arugam Bay. Arugam Bay is situated on the Indian Ocean in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's South-East coast. The Bay is located 220 km due East of Colombo. It is a popular surfing and tourist destination. Due to its location and southerly swell direction, the area is dominated by right-hand point breaks. There is a beach break in front of the Stardust Hotel, which can be fun for body surfing or for beginners but that's about it. Three of the point breaks "The Point", "Pottuvil Point" and "Crocodile Rock" are within an hour tuk-tuk ride from the hotel, with "The Point being visible (15 min walk) from the hotel. There are several other points that are within a 1-hour's ride or can be accessed by boat. Some of the staff at the hotel surf and are only too happy to help you plan surf trips to some of these lesser-known breaks.

DAY 07

Highlights - Arugam bay leisure beach and fishing

  • Eat your breakfast at the hotel.

  • Enjoy the daily activities in Arugam Bay and Pottuvil start early. Around 4 o'clock the first fishing boats go out to sea. It is possible to arrange trips with them. An hour later the Mullah in the mosque sends his first-morning prayers out, and at six the sky is changing color. You can swim or fight with the waves in the sea all year round. On few occasions in January and February is the lagoon opened up by the people living on its shores, and excess water is streaming out to the sea. DAY 09

Arugam Bay/Trincomalee

Highlights - Trincomalee leisure beaches, harbour, Fort Frederick and Koneswaram temple

  • In this morning, get a delicious breakfast in the hotel at Arugam Bay.

  • Begin travelling Arugam Bay to Trincomalee, which lies on the east coast and is popular for its exclusively mesmerizing deserted beaches. It also attracts a lot of eyeballs for its exquisite and one of the finest natural harbours worldwide. Also at one point, you get a chance to witness only sections of the majestic Bay which are incredible. Also, the little quaint fishing village of Nilaveli, situated in the north of Trincomalee is counted among the best beaches in the country. In a specific season, you can also get amazed seeing huge whales accompanied by other thrilling activities available here. The place also houses divinely holy Koneswaram Temple devoted to Lord Shiva and captivating Swamy Rock famously called lover's leap.

  • On reaching, the rest of the day will be free at leisure.

DAY 10


Highlights - Pettah bazaar, 100 years old clock tower and several colonial buildings during the British period

  • Have your delicious breakfast at the hotel in Trincomalee.

  • Transfer to Colombo.

  • Make a city tour of Colombo. Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries as fast as changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world beauty is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and several colonial buildings during the British Period.

DAY 11


Highlights - National Museum, Independence Square,  Hindu and a Buddhist temple and Bandaranaike Memorial International  Conference Hall (BMICH)

  • After delicious breakfast at the hotel, visit other places of interest in Colombo. The Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for a bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the rich, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) - an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China.

DAY 12


  • Consume breakfast at the hotel in Colombo. 

  • Transfer from Colombo to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
