After breakfast, be picked up and transferred to the bus station.
On arrival at Pakse, meet your driver and continue by road to Saravan province via Tateng.
Take a tea break en-route to the Bolaven Plateau area, to observe the locals and their way of life as they make traditional tea and coffee. The scenery around Tad Fan Waterfall is spectacular with twin waterfalls plummeting into a deep gorge surrounded by flourishing vegetation. A trip to the plateau provides a refreshing break from the heat and allows you to observe the cultivation of rich coffee, tea, cardamom, bananas, and other crops that can be seen en route. This trip gives visitors the chance to venture off the beaten track and to discover some of the lesser-known areas of Laos, exploring the wild beauty of this southern region and get to visit the villages of Alak, Nge, Katu, populated by ethnic minority groups.
Upon arrival at Tad Lo Lodge, check in, and enjoy leisure time to explore Tadlo Waterfall.

After an early breakfast, head out towards the ancient city of Champasak.
On the way, make some stops at Laongam weaving centre, and take a short detour to visit Pha Suam Waterfall.
Stroll around the ethnic minority villages of Lao Teung.
Have a traditional lunch at the local restaurant.
Continue to travel by road via Pakse to Champasak.
Visit the ruins of Wat Phu, the pre-Angkorian temple, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. We have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy free time at leisure.

After breakfast, get a chance to enjoy this beautiful little town, before saying goodbye.
Cross the Mekong River by ferry to Ban Muang in order to continue your journey further down south.
On the way, make your way to Kietngong village for elephant riding experience to Phou Asa, another archaeological site.
Make a stop at the famous waterfalls of Khonephapheng, the largest waterfall in South East Asia, Known as Niagara of the east, before going to Don Khong. It is the largest island in the sub-region of the Mekong river known as the 4000 islands, one of the most scenic areas in Laos.
Stay overnight at Kongmany Hotel.

After breakfast, explore the hidden gems of Kong island by bike.
To discover the local life, visit Vat Chomthong and Vat Kangkhong and then begin driving along the Mekong riverside.
Head to the Southern loop and turn around the island to see how local process bar of sugar, get a sample of fresh sugar juice.
Head back along Meuang Sene village or drive on the way to the tip of Khong island and get to see the hometown of the former president of Lao - Mr Khamtay Siphandone.
Arrive back to your hotel in early afternoon.

Travel by boat to Khone and Det Island in the morning.
Upon arrival to the local village of Ban Khone, explore the small island by local type of Tuktuk, make a stop at the bridge that links between Khone and Det island for a photo opportunity. See an array of relics from the French colonial era and retrace the old colonial past including French colonial buildings and the remnants of the first Lao railway with its locomotive.
Continue to discover the islands area by Tuk Tuk at leisure and visit the Liphi waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking the end of Lao border to Cambodia.
Get on a local Tuk Tuk to explore Ban Hang Khone, take a picture of a steaming head old train, with the retained structure where all ship/cruises disembark and got pulled up to the train before transferring to the other end. Get on the long tail boat to observe the freshwater Irrawaddy dolphins.
Return to Ban Don Khone.

Have free time to explore this wonderful island in the morning.
Cruise up the river to Nakasang.
Get picked up by van from Nakasang and continue driving to Pakse.
Stay overnight in Pakse.

The Bolaven Plateau is known for its cooler temperature being located high above the Mekong Valley. Rivers run off this high plateau in all directions and then plunge out to lush forests along in a series of spectacular surging waterfalls.
Wat Phu is one of the Lao World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001. This wonderful archaeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 5th, 11th and 12th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
