Get picked up from the hotel in Vientiane at 8:00 AM. Then the Vientiane guide and driver will escort you to your destination to Nam Ngum lake.
On the way, stop at Hmong village market, 52 km before you go ahead to Vang Sang. Discover numerous bas-reliefs representing Buddha dating back to the 8-12th centuries. These bas-reliefs are sculpted and carved in the rock.
Continue your journey to Nam Ngume Lake, the largest lake in the Lao PDR, to enjoy great natural sceneries.
Eat lunch by the lakeside (at your own expense).
Enjoy a cruise on the lake and the beautiful greenery-filled landscape for an hour.
In the afternoon, return to Vientiane by road, driving through local villages.
Drive directly to Ban Nabor, where salt mines can be found. Close to the salt mines, there is a zoo as well.
