My husband and I had a fabulous trip to Jordan and Firas made the trip even more special. He is a very professional guide. But brings in a bit of fun as well. We had many good laughs. Great to have a guide who loves his own country as much as he does. We can highly recommend Firas . Said to him, we will go back and see more of this very special place.

Our visit to Jordan was a last minute decision. My daughter and I landed Thursday at 11:00 pm and left Saturday at 10:30 pm.  Even in this short period of time, we wanted to see the most of Jordan and thanks to Firas, we were able to achieve this; Dead Sea, Mount Nebo, Petra and Amman. Firas was with us in each step and explained the history behind everything we saw. He could explain it in a very simple way that my daughter is still telling it to her friends. 

I would definitely come back to see the rest of Jordan with Firas, and I would recommend him without any hesitation.

Firas is phenomenal!  We took a family  spring break trip to Jordan (my wife and I, and our two daughters - 15 and 10) and hired Firas as a guide.  He was unbelievable in every way possible.  He is incredibly knowledgeable about the sights and history of Jordan, and at the same time was so patient with us, our questions, our needs, and our overall silly behavior.  My daughters really enjoyed being with him, and my wife and I thought he was the linchpin to making this week in Jordan one of the best trips ever!  I cannot imagine there is a better guide out there.  Firas is the man!!

We had just finished up travelling through Morocco and Egypt leaving us a week to kill at the end of our trip, so we decided to book a quick flight from Cairo to Amman with the main idea to visit Petra in Jordan.  I contacted several tour companies, drivers, and tour guides about 4 days before our arrival looking for private transportation and guiding services through 5different locations that we wanted to visit. There were several that were quick to respond, but there was something about the organization and information provided back from Firas that made me think that there was something that set him apart from the rest. He suggested itineraries based on the information and places that I provided. He was slightly more money than most others that had got back to me, but after chatting back and forth with him, I knew that there was a reason.  All the other prices that I got back from others seemed to be from fly by nighters that would not provide me with much information.

Once we arrived in Jordan, we were greeted at the airport with a personalized sign and a smile. Firas provided us with all of the services that he had said he would and even sent us a personalized travel schedule before we arrived with daily forecasts to ensure that we knew how to dress for each activity and day.  Every day went sooth and went as organized almost down to the minute.  He was very knowledgeable about all of the sites that we visited and provided more information than one could retain but in an interesting fashion. 

Firas spoke great English and easily conversed with us over many topics regarding anything about Jordan. He was more than willing to answer any questions that we had about all subjects.

My family and I visited Jordan for 2 days. Our plan was to visit Dead Sea, Baptism site, Wadi Rum and Petra. Firas organized our schedule carefully and precisely to allow us to visit key locations at all sites  within limited our time frame. He is very knowledgeable in Jordanian history, customs and current environment. We asked many questions and he thoroughly answered all of them.  His recommendations on hotels and restaurants were also excellent. Firas is one of the top guides we have met during our 30+ years of travels. I recommend him without reservation to all travelers visiting Jordan.

Firas was our tour guide for a group of 6 of us for 2 days this November. He took us to the Jordan River, Petra, the Dead sea, etc. during the whole two days, not only did he show us the way and tell us where to go, give us history tours along the way, etc. He also was courteous, professional, always happy to help take a photo (or a bunch if we wanted), and had a lot of good judgment in terms of when he should give us some space to enjoy the surroundings and everything we were experiencing. He allowed us to ask him a million questions and he was happy to talk about anything and everything. Also very importantly for a tour guide, he had a great sense of timing, knowing when we'd have to get to each checkpoint, yet never making us feel rushed, getting us to each spot on time without us barely even noticing. A great balance to have in a tour guide. We enjoyed spending time with him so much that we also invited him to have dinner with us on our second day. I would recommend him to anyone who travels to Jordan.

Firas Mesmar was the full-time guide for our family of four during our recent trip to Jordan. He surpassed our expectations and is by far the best guide we have ever had in our many world travels. We only had five days to see as much as possible in Jordan. Firas made excellent recommendations on how to make the most of our time and truly enjoy our trip. His knowledge of everything Jordan, from history to religion to culture to food is outstanding. We had reviewed multiple guidebooks before our trip, but Firas’s knowledge extends far beyond what is in the books and his historical knowledge is exceptional. Firas is also very responsive, patient and personable, and he always anticipated our needs. When our teenagers listed different foods they wanted to try, he went out of his way to get them as many items from their list as possible. Firas takes great pride in his country and his work. I was with Firas for two days in April 2017. I told him beforehand what I wanted to see and he arranged the trip accordingly. He was very flexible and always put his client's interest on top. E.g., we went to Petra on the second day and planned to go back via the Dead Sea where I wanted to do a round of swimming. When we finished the first day earlier than expected he offered to advance the Dead Sea trip by one day as the weather conditions were expected to worsen the next day. Firas is very well informed - not only in historical topics but it was also very interesting to hear his views on life and business in Jordan in general. I can really recommend him for any trip in Jordan. He responded very quickly to messages and was very transparent.

Firas created a tailored trip for us for 5 days, having in mind all our specifics - grown up kids, 70 years old mother. 

He adjusted it accordingly during our travels and always responded to our needs.

Very knowledgeable able to tell you many stories about the places you visit. Suggested options for us to choose. We tried different foods, visited all what we wanted and he showed us places we didn't know about. Have to mention our driver Mundir, safe and comfortable journeys he provided to us.

I appreciated his care, especially for my mother and we had relaxing and enjoyable vacation, there was always somebody to take care of us.

We travel to Jordan last November with our 3 year old daughter. Firas maked this trip so smooth and comfortable in every site that the whole family enjoyed. Taking into account that our girl is still little and my husband is a very comfortable traveller was perfect. Firas knowledge of every place is remarkable even for the most unexpected questions.

My trip was a short 3-day trip to Jordan for business. However, I truly wanted to make a visit to Petra.  My hosts had wisely chosen Firas to be my guide.  He was an amazing guide in telling me the historical and architectural prespetice of the area.  He answered all my questions paitently and gave a fabulous tour of not only Petra but also the background and history of Jordan.  He was also incredibly punctual and an excellent driver for our three hr drive from Amman to Jordan. He was also kind enough to look for Jordanian Football souvenirs for my boys when he realized I was trying to locate a shop for sports memorabilia.  All in all an excellent trip and a wonderful experience.  Thank you.

My husband and I were lucky to have hired Firas as our driver and guide during our 9 days in Jordan this past May.  He is simply one of the best guides we have ever met during our many years of globetrotting!  Things started with a prompt and detailed reply to our initial enquiry, with customized tour suggestions,  instead of the standard reply with standard information.  This gave us a very good impression but this was just the beginning.  He follows up with detailed reminders and travel information on weather, visa's, tour passes etc, as well as suggestions on hotels.  Do note though, that he is not a tour agency, so he will not book the hotels for you.  He will give suggestions based on your budgets and standards and then it's just a matter of a few clicks at booking.com or hotels.com   - not a big deal considering that you are getting one of the best personalized guide possible for a very reasonable price.  Firas speaks excellent English, is super punctual, accomodating, as well as passionate in what he does. He does not "skim through" the sites like a lot of guides do, nor will he bore you out with excruciating detail.  All in all, we  had an amazing time getting to know Jordan with him, and it was sad to say goodbye at the end of our trip.  We know we will be back and yes, we will look no further - Firas will be our guide!

By the way, for any of you who may still be hesitant, Jordan is defintely safe and worth the visit!  We have never, for once, felt unsafe at all.

My husband, my three litlle daughters and I traveled to Jordan for a 5 days trip and Firas was our guide. He put together a nice schedule and managed to provide us with the best of each place, regardless of the slow pace because of the kids.
