Visit the former summer residence of the royal family, Drottningholm, on the island in Lake Mälaren Lovön. Located about 10 km from the capital, the castle since 1981, serves as a permanent residence of the royal family, which resides in the south wing.
Explore the close by China Castle, which today is known as the Palace Theatre. Drottningholm is also included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites.
