    • We start at the Sólheimajökull parking spot where you will meet your guide. He will give you some glacier gear, harness, helmet, crampons and an ice axe. 
    • After we but on the equipment, we start the 15-20 min hike to the glacier. It is a nice and easy gravel road all the way, that ends up with a beautiful view of the whole glacier.
    • At the base of the glacier, we put on the crampons and show you how to use them. Your guide will also go over some safety rules before we start hiking on the ice. 
    • When we are on the glacier we walk for about 2 hours on the ice. This gives you a good time to get some nice photos and for the guide to tell you about the place. Our guides will also show you the wonders of the glacier, such as crevasses and moulins.

  • This tour takes about 3,5 hours from the parking lot and back. So you have 1-2 hours on the glacier.
