8 Days Nature tour itinerary for Tehran & Kashan: Traverse Jungle, Mountains & Desert Areas
Travel on the Firuz Kuh road to see the Badab-e Surt spring, explore the Golestan province for local wildlife, see the shrine of Khaled Nabi and do camel rides at Mesr Desert during this tour. You will view mountains, hot springs, modern and old city areas.
We kindly congratulate you upon your delicate choice! Right on your arrival, we will pick you up at IKA International Airport and transfer you to the hotel. If time allows, do Tehran half day city tour in the afternoon.

Tehran - Badabe Surt
In the early morning, we head East. This road which is known by Firuz Kuh road. We will continue our route to cross the mountains through our sneaky routes and dirt roads to get on the highest balcony at 3000 meters elevation. When you stand on this 45 km ridge, you will realize how it keeps the clouds and jungles on one side and the desert on the other side.
After lunch, we cross the Parvar protected area before arriving at the unique spring of Badab-e Surt.
After visiting this natural national heritage, we set up our camp at the side of the forest in this area and prepare our dinner (local house accommodation is also possible upon request).

Badabe Surt – Golestan National Park
After breakfast and a last walk on the grassland around the spring, we will continue through the dry water lines and dirt roads to arrive at a small desert with microclimate, lots of natural colors and shapes on the ground. Then again by crossing one neck in the north direction, we will see how climates change so quickly in this area. This diversity in climate also brings diversity in wildlife and human life and local culture.
By lunch, we will cross the Golestan province. There are many protected areas, wildlife reserve and national parks in this area. Our experts will choose one of these sights depending on the month and the weather for better views of the area. We can do our optional walk in the evening and the morning after. There is a high chance of seeing wildlife in these walks.
We will do camping at a place with a nice viewpoint in the evening (Local house accommodation is also possible upon request).

Golestan National Park – Turkmen Sahra
After breakfast, cross the last ridge of mountains to arrive at the north side and get into the area where Turkmen lives with their famous horses. We will get into the heart of this region and drive up to the shrine of Khaled Nabi (which Turkmen believe him as a per-Islamic prophet) to see this entire vast region in one panoramic view.
We will walk in the cemetery next to the shrine to see the unique stones used during the ancient times. After watching a glorious sunset from up there, we will drive down and stay with the locals in their local house.

Turkmen Sahra - Jandaq
We will say goodbye to the locals and continue our route to the south and cross the jungles and mountains to the desert side. Again we will see how all of these climates could be as close as 20 km to each other. We will visit the shrine of Bayazid Bastami, a Persian Sufi known as “King of the Gnostics”.
We will continue to Damghan and visit one of the old caravanserais on the famous old Silk Road on our way to Jandaq.

Jandagh - Mesr Desert
After breakfast, move towards the Mesr desert.
Do camel riding in the Mesr desert and explore the sand dunes, a pleasant activity in this region. Optional ride of ATV motors is also available at Mesr desert.

Mesr Desert - Kashan
We wake up in the desert today. After lunch, we move towards the Salt Lake and after sunset, we go towards Kashan.

Depending on the flight departure, in Kashan, we will visit the Fin Garden (WHS) a lush garden renowned as being the very epitome of the Persian garden. In the garden, you can enjoy a delightful atmosphere of water flowing from a natural spring through a series of turquoise-colored pools and fountains.
Visit the Tabatabaei traditional house.
Afterward, we directly drive to airport for departure

Firuz Kuh road takes us to famous bridges of Veresk which was built during World War II by Austrian engineer. It is 110 meters high and open since 1937 for trains.
Badab-e Surt: After thousands of years, a combination of salty water and iron oxide water from two springs have created the unique scene of natural pool balconies here with nice orange color at an elevation of 1840 m.
Tabatabaei Traditional house is a perfect place to gain an insight as to how great taste of art and exquisite workmanship can come together to build a splendid house about 2 centuries ago.
Enjoy mountains, deserts, jungles, mineral water, plain, modern and old city - all during the 7 days tour. Iran is 4 season Country and all days of a year, you will witness hot and cold weather.
