Inspect the numerous artefacts on display at the National Museum of Iraq. Then witness the minaret of the Great Mosque of Samarra. Finally, explore the remains of the ancient kingdom of Babylon.
Arrival in baghdad
Your Iraq tour guide will greet you at the airport and take you for a welcome dinner.
Stay overnight in a hotel.
Visit the National Iraq Museum which has more than 10,000 artefacts on display, some of which date back to 25000 BC.
Then, behold the famous Martyr Monument, dedicated to Iraqi soldiers who died in 80’s Iraq-Iran war.
Head to the Great Mosque of Samarra (UNESCO World Heritage Site) to witness the malwiya minaret. The minaret is about 52 meters (171ft) high and 33 meters (108ft) wide at the base, the spiral contains steps going up to the top.
After breakfast, drive to visit the Arch of Ctesiphon.
Then, head out to explore the ruins of Babylon like the Hanging Gardens which is a part of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Visit the Saddam Palace which has been converted into a Museum.
Have lunch then head out on your way back.
