Icelandic food isn’t well known by the rest of the world, but this tour hopes to change that. Iceland has long, dark winters and people spend a lot of time indoors. There is an abundance of fresh meat, fish and dairy, so they've kinda perfected this whole ‘cooking’ business.

Learn what the Vikings ate and how Icelandic people have survived harsh winters thanks to the special cooking and preserving methods.

This tour runs every Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm – 4:30 pm, walk around 2.5 km, making plenty of stops along the way. With no more than 12 people on a tour, ask any questions about Icelandic food and culture, plus make a few new friends. And, you certainly won’t leave feeling hungry!

Bon appetite! Or, as they say in Iceland “Verði þér að góðu.”

The Food tour is available for private groups upon request.
