From the time Alcy greeted me at the airport until he dropped me off a week later, Alcy showed tremendous enthusiasm for being able to share his love of his country, its history,  and current achievements.  Very personable and attentive, Alcy enhanced my thrill of being able to see one of the world's greatest engineering feats, extending our trip to accomodate my curiousity.  He was able to answer honestly the tough questions I had about all aspects of Panamaian life and history.  Fluent in English, Alcy never faltered in understanding my slang and sharing our senses of humor.  As a solo senior woman traveler,  Alcy made me feel completely safe, through our adventures in Panama City, on the canal, and suggested individual activities and dining options, with his driving being very safe.  Alcy also arranged an extra trip to the Embera Indigenous Village, which was an absolute delight and very informative.

Alcy was recommended to us by a couple who regularly frequent Panama. He met us at the airport (as per our e-mail conversation) and was a pleasure to talk to on the trip to Coronado - as well as on the return two weeks later. We arranged a day tour of Panama City with him, which was great value. He is extremely knowledgeable about Panama's history and seems to genuinely enjoy sharing his knowledge with visitors.
