Oscar , not only an excellent guide,but also an excellent story teller,a good cooker，a qualified teacher.He is knowlegable at history, geography

and he knows so much about how to treat altitude sickness and many other knowledge.

We have a wonderful vocation in Atacama guided by him. Hope to have another trip with him again.

My boyfriend and I spent 3 days in the Atacama Desert with Oscar and the time we spent with him exceeded all of our expectations. He was adaptable, extremely knowledge about the area, and took us to all of the major sites while also avoiding huge tourist crowds. The wine at sunset and well prepared breakfast and lunches he provided were top-notch. He was one of the friendliest, most accepting people we met during our whole trip to Chile and it was a pleasure getting to know him along the way.  Guide Oscar Vasquez and his tour was above all possible expectations. He is so knowledgeable about all aspects of his environment; nature, history, the indigenous peoples and Chile today. Oscar thought of everything and catered for our every need. He was punctual, enthusiastic and we needed someone who spoke English (he is Chilean!)! Oscar was definitely one of our best choices when we were planing our trip to Chile. He has been in the Atacama area for years and knows all secret corners inside out. By this he was always able to be exactly at the right time at the perfect stops ensuring that we were able to catch the most awesome sunrises and sundowns in this beautiful desert. And he topped everything with his great pick-nicks. We shared great talks and excellent moments with him. We would recommend Oscar anytime!

He went above and beyond to make our experience seamless and unforgettable.  

He showed us the best the Atacama Desert has to offer.  He is extremely passionate about his job and clearly enjoys meeting people and showing them the sites.  He has been doing tours there for 20 years, and he knows how to perfectly organize your trip; what parks are open and when, making sure you see the desert highlights, not the crowds of tourists.

Oscar's tour had a lot of special touches: pisco sour at sunset overlooking the most fantastic sites, delicious breakfast and lunch spreads...  For example, our morning at Tatio Geyser was freezing, and after we got out of the thermal pools he had prepared a beautiful table with a hot breakfast including eggs and coffee overlooking nature.  Not to mention the dozens of times he stopped the car for us to take a picture of nearby wildlife and llamas!

Since Oscar is fluent in English, the quality and information given during the tours was well beyond what we would normally expect.  He is so highly knowledgeable on all topics, and able to clearly communicate history, geology, etc of all the sites that you visit.

In addition to the fantastic excursions, Oscar was very accommodating and flexible.  For example, when our flight to Calama was severely delayed due to weather, he waited for us for hours at the airport to pick us up.  Not only that, he moved the excursions we had missed due to the flight delay to the following day.  He worked overtime to make sure we didn't miss any of our planned excursions.

Needless to say, if we go back, we will definitely be booking with Oscar!
