We spent a day with Tariku Tolera exploring Lake Chamo and Nechisar National Park. We stayed at Paradise Lodge in Arba Minch so took their shuttle to Lake Chamo where were boarded a boat and traveled across the lake. We saw several large crocodiles and 3 or 4 hippos in the Lake. Once we arrived on the other side, we climbed up a hill and walked around in the park for about 2 hours looking for animals. We saw around 20 zebra and many birds. Tariku is an excellent birder and we are enthusiastic birders so we really appreciated his expertise. He helped us identify many bird species that day. The terrain in Nechisar is quite uneven, plus you are wading through knee-high grasses so you should wear hiking boots if you have them and long pants. We were there on June 25, 2018 and it was very hot and sunny. We highly recommend Tariku - he took excellent care of us and worked really hard to make sure that we saw as much as possible and that we were always happy and comfortable. He did a fantastic job! 

Tariku did an outstanding job while we toured Lake Chamu. He knew the history and the layout of the surrounding area. He was quite attentive and very friendly. He answered our questions and talked about the varities of animals and fish that are found in the area. His manner was gentle and authoritative at the same time.
