I was quite a little exited, before I startet my first tour to Sri Lanka. I was travelling  alone  and wondered, if it is a good idea to book a private guide. Yes it was a very good idea!!!

Supun is a wonderful driver and guide. Whatever I was looking  for … he made it possible. He took very good care of me and made me feel comfortable at every time. The car was great, he travelled very safely and he booked clean and nice hotels. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast delicious.

Supun showed me some hidden places along the route: I tasted delicous meals in some real local places, drunk the best fruit juices, bought the spiciest curry powders, saw how srilankan families organize their life at rural places (without car, refrigerator or electric cooker) and relaxed with the best massage.

Supun is doing his job from the bottom of his heart and this is what makes him special. I can highly recommend a tour with his company and I wish Supun lot of success for his future and business.

It was our first journey to Sri Lanka and we did not know anything about this beautiful island. So we trusted completely on Supuns ideas, what is interesting to see in his homeland. He arranged everything including accommodation in a phantastic way: He was always very flexible and tried to fulfill our requests – in advance, while answering our questions incredibly soon by mail. And also on tour: He always listened to our wishes considerately and no change of our tour-plan was too complicated for him to arrange. And now we know: That means a lot of telephone-calls for him – doing it all in a kind and circumspect manner. He needs to organize his travel-agency with a handfull of reliable and kind drivers (we travelled the second half of our tour with one of them) even he is on tour himself.

We had 12 days and we wanted to see a lot, so the days were really packed with activities: We were doing safaris, climbed up lion rock, visited a tea plantage, had a train ride, enjoyed a wonderful ayurvedic treatment … and so on. And it never felt like we had to hurry from one place to another, because Supun has a wonderful knowledge about realaxed ever-day-plans. This was very important for us travelling as a family. Furthermore, he was a very friendly, humorous and well-informed guide, so that we enjoyed conversations with him so much and we learned a lot about Sri Lanka. We could reach him every moment of our day by mobile. And he was so sensitive to respect our family-privacy right that moment, we did not need his assistance any longer.

We travelled many places so far, but this trip was the best - thanks to Supun. We will never forget.

It was our first travel to Asia – and we decided for Sri Lanka. It was one of our best decisions ever, because this island with it’s kind buddhist people really catched our hearts.

So we had luck at the first step – and we had a lot more luck to travel with Supun. He provided us with all details of our tour long before we departed, including different options for guesthouses. So we had the option to choose what we liked the most.

Reading a lot of travel-books we thought we can fill in some more attractions some days. But Supun carefully made us (a german couple) familiar with the special situation in his homeland. And that means: It takes much more time to drive most of the distances in Sri Lanka, as we expected - because streets are not always in a good condition and travelling in darkness is dangerous, because wild living animals gather around the streets, still heated from daytime sun.

We stayed at familiar guesthouses with friendly stuff and delicious dinner. We did not do too much cultural visits, but enjoyed a lot the landscape, going hiking or having a safari with experienced guides, Supun recommended and booked for us.

At the end of our trip we relaxed some days at the beach in the south-side of Sri Lanka. Even those days – Supun did not charge his normal daily rate – he called us to ask, if we need anything or have problems he can solve for us. For our transit to the airport at Colombo he sent us one of his kind drivers – so we had a safe travel back home again.

Besides this Supun owns a comfortable and fully-insured car with air-condition, he drives very safe through the chaotic traffic and fulfills every appointment reliable and punctual. If he books guest-rooms, you can be sure: It is an overnight at a nice place with a kind stuff and tasty food. 

Communication with Supun proceeds easily in English – whenever you write him, he answers very quickly to mails. He is licensed by the tourism-board and offers day-tours and longer travels.

Since the first travel with Supun we knew: He is much more than a simple guide - he became a friend of us.
