We visited the Old city of Plovdiv on July 16th and Velislav was out tour guide. He is an exceptional young man who loves his job and his city, extremely knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. Veliskav's in depth knowledge of the  acient history of the world is impressive and admirable. His perfect English speaking skills helped a lot with trying to explain the beauty and singnificance of this place to our not-so-well Bulgarian speaking children.  We strongly recommend using Velislav's services when visiting Plovdiv and all major historical  destinations in Bulgaria. 

I booked Velislav for a day to show me around Plovdiv: I asked for some (but not too much!) history, a local restaurant, the main sights and a few secrets.  And we did all that, at a good pace.  Velislav's English was excellent, and he was friendly and good company and professional.  He wasn't the lowest price I got offered via TourHQ, but I'm very glad I chose him.
