Dear Dawit , it’s been only a short time since I have come back to Italy and, although I am somehow relieved to have back all the comforts I’m used to, a strong nostalgia has already hit me. As I remember telling you, as soon as I’m back home I start longing for Africa again, and I know that this feeling is shared by most people in our group. In this case, this “African sickness” takes the form of missing you as well, as we will never stop to thank you for all you did to make our holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible. At the same time we were very touched by the way you tried to approach the people we met on the road: trying to talk with them rather than just giving money and candies, trying to engage them in some activity and so create a bond which speaks of respect and shared experiences rather than gross and meddling charity. We really think you are a very special person. Rosella (Italy)
