My husband and I took a private, 16 day trip down the Rio Negro with Carlos Damasceno as our guide. We found Carlos helpful, informative, friendly and trustworthy. He organised everything for us and tailored the trip to our tastes. We wanted to see the more out of the way places and true wilderness areas, being interested in natural history. Carlos ensured this. For example, his network of contacts, meant we could explore the more remote areas without fear of being lost. I am a botanist and Carlos introduced us to one of his Brazilian-Indian mates who could take us to a remote area where an insectivorous plant that was new to science grew. I would highly recommend Carlos as a guide.

Dear Dr Maria Gibson, I thank you so much for your this review about me and my tours in the Amazon. Our 16 days expedition in the Amazon was something amazing which I had the opportunity to introduce you and your husband to the untamed Amazon Jungle away from civilization and tourist areas. I still More
remember the amazing Cuieras River the region where we sow the interesting carnivorous plant and the wild Apuau River tributary of Rio Negro where we had the chance to explore primary jungle, water vines and it was the place where we sow the amazing otters. It was undoubtedly a wonderful trip and I wish to have you back here for another adventure in the Amazon. Best regards, Carlos Less
