8 Days Nature tour itinerary for Rishikesh, Haridwar & Dehradun: Trek To Kagbhusandi Lake In Garhwal Himalayas

Travel to high altitude lakes in the Indian Himalayan region that encircles colourful flowers and is surrounded by snow-clad peaks. Along the way, you will pass by green valleys and boulder-strewn ridge so as to reach this lake.
Rishikesh to Govindghat
Drive from Rishikesh to Govindghat (1,828 m) via Joshimath. Govindghat is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. This place is a base for many treks including Kuari Pass, Pangarchula Peak and Valley of flowers. (270 km and 7.5-hour drive)
Witness the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi to form river Ganges on the way.
Govindghat to Bhyundar village
Make your way towards Bhyundar village, which is the starting point of the trek to Kagbhusandi Lake.
Encounter rocky areas, glaciers, shrubs, rivers, etc on the first day of your trek.
Enjoy the sounds of gushing water of River Alaknanda, while you move forward. The trail after Bhyundar village passes through dense bear-infested rhododendron forests. It is here that you will have the first glimpse of Hathi Parvat while moving towards Roopdhungi.
Stay overnight in tents at Roopdhungi.
Distance covered: 10 km.
Bhyundar valley to Simartoli
Move from Roop Dhungi to Simartoli and later to Rajkharak. The entire trail is beautiful and soothing to eyes. (6 km trek)
Walk on a colourful route with a variety of flowers blooming in full blossom with snow-clad Himalayan peaks in the background.
Pass through Kargil, Simartoli, Bankbara and Dang Khark.
Camp at Raj Khark for the day. These are all beautiful campsites for trekkers. A lot of shepherds from the nearby villages use this area as pastureland to graze their livestock.
Simartoli to Rajkharg
Trek to Rajkharg. (5 km trek)
Trek to Kagbhushandi and back to Rajkharg. (8 km)
Rajkharg to Bhyundar valley
Trek to Bhyundar valley. (10 km)
Bhyundar to Joshimath
Trek to Joshimath. (9 km trek)
Drive for rest of the way. (20 km drive)
Joshimath to Rishikesh
Drive to Rishikesh. (252 km and 7.5 hours)
Accommodation. (Guest house, Camping).
All meals while on the trek.

Qualified and experienced local trek leader, guide and support staff.
All transportation during the trek program.

Mules or porter to carry personal luggage. Cost extra 250 per day per bag.
