Historical & Cultural Tour of Jaipur
Pick up by your Indian guide in the morning to start your tour. Drive through the markets of the Pink city. Your first stop will be the remarkable Hawa Mahal or Wind Palace which is the signature building of Jaipur and the second most photographed in Rajasthan.
After this photo stop, proceed towards the ancient town Amber which is approximately 10 km’s away from Jaipur. Once we reach Amber, we will stop at the old step-well, a masterpiece of architecture that used to be a major water resource during the old days.
After the step-well, we will visit the magnificent Amber palace situated atop a hill. I will take you around this spell-bounding palace and share some interesting facts and stories.
After we finish with the tales of the glorious warrior history of Rajasthan, we will head back towards the Pink City and on the way, we will do a photo stop at the Water Palace of Jaipur, known as Jal Mahal built right in the middle of the Man Sagar lake. The beautiful structure which once was a royal hunting palace is not opened for the public but its beauty can be admired from the bank.
After a nice lunch break, head to the famous Jantar Mantar Observatory built by the founder of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Admire this remarkable piece of art and architecture, also a Heritage Site and an astronomical wonder. Your knowledgeable guide will share his knowledge of astrology and the connection of the Indian astrology/astronomy with the various instruments of this interesting observatory.
With great learning of history, art, architecture and Indian astrology your tour will end at your hotel.
