Delhi Sightseeing and drive to Jaipur
After breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed with the sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
Drive past the 12th century 230- feet high Qutab Minar, gracefully hand carved for its entire height, India Gate- memorial for the Indian army, the Rashtrapati Bhavan (formerly the viceroy’s residence) and the Parliament House – The Parliament House is 173 m in diameter, has a colonnade veranda and the roof of the outer circle is supported by 247 pillars.
After lunch, leave for Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur, check in at hotel. The city that once had been the capital of the royalty, now serves as the capital city of Rajasthan. The city of Jaipur, painted in pink, grasps the appreciation of every visitor. One can see the hoary charm still alive in the avenues of Jaipur.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to explore the Amber Fort – a royal residence located in Amber (Jaipur), which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. The Amber Fort looks stunning, all-built in white marble and red sandstone.
Next stop will be Hawa Mahal – built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, Hawa Mahal is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur. The palace, part of a huge complex, overlooks one of Jaipur’s main streets and was originally constructed to offer women of the court a vantage point, behind stoned-carved screens, from which to watch the activities taking place in the bazaar and the surrounding streets.
After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace- the principle residence of the ruling family and known for its stunning architecture. Part of it now converted into a magnificent museum.
Conclude the day with an intriguing visit to Jantar Mantar- a stone observatory raised in the 18th century.

Drive to Agra enroute Fatehpur Sikri
After breakfast, depart for Agra. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, which has been described as the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years; the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.
Arrive in Agra.
In the evening, go to the bank of Yamuna river for a picturesque view of the Taj Mahal.
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour including Taj Mahal, one of the 7-wonders of the world. Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1560 in the memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and who took 17 years to complete this ‘Love poem In Marble’.
Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Go to the markets to discover Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are: leather ware, brass ware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery work.
In the afternoon proceed to Agra Fort, a fort region built during the great Mughal era. Agra fort contains halls for private and public audiences and other palaces. Shah Jahan spent years of containment at the hands of his son Aurangzeb, looking wistfully at the Taj Mahal from this Fort.
Drive to Delhi and Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive back to Delhi.
Upon arrival in Delhi, leave for lunch at a local restaurant.
