Travel through the three most sought after cities of Northern India - New Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. Journey from the plains to the Aravalli ranges and finally to the spell-binding grave of a queen - the Taj Mahal. Immerse yourself in the Indian experience - especially by food and lifestyle. 

DAY 01

Arrive Delhi

  • Meet the tour representatives at the airport. 

  • Stay overnight in Delhi.

DAY 02

Delhi Sightseeing and drive to Jaipur

  • After breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi.

  • Visit Jama Masjid. This immense mosque is the largest mosque in India. It is also the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees.

  • Later, drive past Red Fort citadel.

  • Visit Raj Ghat - a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi.

  • Next stop will be the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutubud-din Aibek of the slave dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206.

  • Visit India Gate - a memorial raised inhonor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and drive past the grand government buildings - the President’s House and Parliament House - all dating back to the time of British Raj.

  • Post lunch, transfer to Jaipur- the pink city. The city was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II. It was meticulously constructed in accordance with the Shilpa – Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. 

  • Stay overnight in Jaipur.

DAY 03

Jaipur Sightseeing and drive to Agra

  • After breakfast check out and proceed to visit Amber Fort, which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. 

  • Ascend the imposing fort on a painted elephant.

  • Visit Hawa Mahal. It is built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur.

  • After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace, the principal residence of the ruling family and is known for its stunning architecture. Part of it is now converted into a magnificent museum. 

  • Also, visit Jantar Mantar. It is a stone observatory raised in the 18th century.

  • If time permits, visit cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets & textiles. Witness how silk carpets are handmade.

  • In the afternoon,depart for Agra through the countryside. 

  • Overnight stay in Agra.

DAY 04

Agra Sightseeing and drive to Delhi

  • In the morning, after breakfast, leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, including the magnificent Taj Mahal. It is one of the seven wonders of the world and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial for Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone.

  • Also, visit the imposing Agra Fort. This Unesco World Heritage Site is a powerful fortress of red sandstone, encompassing the imperial city of the Mughal rulers within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls. It comprises of many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas and two very beautiful mosques.

  • If time permits, enjoy shopping in Agra which is known for its fabulous handicrafts made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took a personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery work.

  • Post lunch, transfer to the Indira Gandhi International airport.
