1 Day Culture tour itinerary for Agra & Delhi: Make A Date With Taj Mahal In The City Of Mughals

Begin services from Delhi when the driver will receive you from the pickup point in Delhi, for the drive to Railway Station to board the early morning (6:10 am – 08:12 am) train to Agra. (5:00 am) the start is recommended.
Arrive at Agra railway station, freshen up before you begin your tour.
Start your tour with a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal with your Agra guide. A pristine white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife – Mumtaz Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, it took 20,000 workers from neighbouring Islamic countries, 22 years of ceaseless toil to create this exquisite white marble monument upon which people have waxed eloquent throughout the world.
After that, visit the red sandstone Agra Fort, built by the Mughal dynasty’s greatest Emperor, Akbar, in 1565. Inside one will find a number of beautiful palaces, mosques and gardens, built by his successors in later years.
After lunch, visit the Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s tomb, a beautiful mausoleum built by the Mughal Emperor Jehangir’s queen in 1628 as a memorial to her father.
In the evening, see the beautiful Mehtab Bagh (Mughal Garden), that provides a perfect view of the Taj Mahal while the sun sets upon its massive bronze domes. This 500-year-old garden is located across from the Taj Mahal on the other side of the Yamuna River.
After the tour, board your train to Delhi Train (09:10 pm – 11:20 pm) to Delhi.
Reach Delhi and the driver will drop you off at the dropping point. End Services.
