Your Delhi tour guide will take you around the city for sightseeing, starting with Jama Masjid.

Jama Masjid

• Jama Masjid is India’s largest mosque, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1655.

• You will see the stunningly engraved calligraphy in Persian at the entrances of Jama Mosque’s prayer hall. Jama Masjid, having Mughal architecture has three domes and four minarets, a plethora of tourists and worshippers can be seen till sunset.

• The Teela (tower like a lighthouse) can be reached by climbing snake-like staircases, surrounded by cavernous walls and dark alleys.

• The bird's eye view is sure to entice you, keep your cameras ready to capture the everlasting beauty of the city through the tower.

Red Fort

• At next, you will visit Red Fort which was built with Redstone by Shahjahan. The Red Fort of Delhi is one of the most astonishing tourist attractions. The iconic Red Fort was the residence of the Emperors of the Mughal dynasty. The design of Red Fort has been copied from Agra’s Fort. Lying on the banks of Yamuna river, the massive and highly protected walls of this well-planned fort, embracing a deep forest, shows Mughal’s impeccable planning and one of the best engineering of that period.

Raj Ghat

• Drive past Red Fort on the way to Raj Ghat, a memorial covered with black embellished marble, built in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi. This memorial is known as the forest of peace.

Humayun's Tomb

• Humayun's Tomb is a great combination of Persian and Indian craftsmanship in architecture. The garden tomb was built in 1560. This iconic monument is a great symbol of Mughal architecture and clearly portrays the diversity and perfection of architectural style.

Lotus Temple

• This monument is a symbol of the Bahai religion and was built in 1986. Tourists come here to capture the wonderful view from across the globe. Lotus Temple offers everyone a peaceful place for meditation, as the faith of the Bahai religion strongly supports harmony, brotherhood and humanity.

Qutub Minar

• Qutub Minar, one of the most interesting historical monuments in Delhi, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is standing for 900 years. The tower of Qutub Minar is a 73-meter tall minaret, constructed in Redstone. Qutub Minar has a large complex of Hindu and Jain Temples, which were demolished by Persian invaders.
