View the best of these North Indian cities for green cover , arid deserts and rivers fed by the Himalayas. On this trip, you will ride elephants, airplanes as you cross picturesque landscapes whilst moving from one historical site to the other; tombs, fortresses and towering minarets .

DAY 01

  • It's possible that arrival to the riotous sights and sounds of Delhi could be a confusing experience. Fear not! Your trusty driver will meet you as soon as you land, and make your hotel transfer a happily pain-free experience. This will make it easy to relax, and allow you a particularly deep sleep in your luxurious hotel bed in Delhi.

DAY 02

Delhi (The Market of the Moon)

  • After breakfast, today there will be three sites to see among the bustling traffic of Delhi. First is Chandni Chowk, the moonlit square that consists of a maze of canals.

  • Second is Qutab Minar, that was built in the seventeenth century with red sandstone and white marble.

  • The third site is the Jama Masjid,  a mosque built of the by now familiar red sandstone and white marble.

DAY 03

Delhi - Jodhpur (By Flight)

  • After breakfast, board a flight to Jodhpur city today.  Jodhpur sits in the middle of a stark desert. The first place that you will be at is  the Clock Tower market. Dominated by the Clock tower that it gets it's name from, the market is filled with streets, allies and intersections. One street may sell shimmering silvers, and others will be full of clay figurines, chess sets and pottery. In the ancient, colorful, dusty and busy streets, this market with its' winding maze-like streets is well worth our time.

DAY 04

Jodhpur (An oasis among the trees)

  • Today, you will start with  the Mehrangarh [sensitive content]w it is a museum. If you want more martial memories, the galleries also hold armor from every era of Jodhpur.Next to these rest, ruby encrusted swords and silver inlayed guns.

  • Then,  take a short drive to see Jaswant Thada, a tomb and monument of the Maharaja Jaswant Singh.

  • Leaving the marble behind, next we will see the vibrant green of the Mandore Garden.Enjoy the fresh plants sprouting next to the ruins of the old Mandore fort.

DAY 05

Jodhpur - Udaipur (250 km/ 4.5 hrs)

  • After breakfast, drive to Udaipur. See the Ranakpur Jain Temple, a massive white edifice carved with bold geometry of white marble. Among the trees here, we will have time to take in all the statues, pillars, and temple. But we won't spend all day in the valley, and in the heat of the afternoon, we will make it into Udaipur in time for a boat ride on Lake Pichola affording us a breathtaking view of the city palace; a promise of tomorrow's activities.

DAY 06

Udaipur (400 years to build)

  • We begin today with a visit to the City Palace that took some 400 years to build! This massive white palace sits upon a hilltop thereby bringing you panoramic city views.

  • Next, you will see the Jagdish Temple, an imposingly tall and intricately carved white monument.

  • After our walking and sightseeing, it's time for some relaxing. And there's no better place for it than the Saheliyon Ki Bari, the garden of the maidens.

DAY 07

Udaipur - Deogarh (127 kms/3 hrs)

  • Today, we will travel by surface through sparse and lush green forests,  rivers and dried earth as we make it towards Deogarh in about three hours. Once there, we will hit up at our hotel and take a jeep ride through rural villages, wherein we will see the ways of local life; some unchanged over thousands of years and many others keeping pace with modernity. When we reach rural Rumble, we will take some time to walk in the village, see the brown houses, meet with colorfully dressed locals and take in a view of life often unseen.

DAY 08

Deogarh - Jaipur (From the depths to the skies above) (274 kms/ 4.5 hrs)

  • Today, we will do a longer trip for Jaipur. As luck has it one floor of the residence does double duty as a museum and here at the base of the seven-story palace, we can see artifacts of royalty as well as some of the brilliance and opulence of the design of this magnificent structure. But today isn't all about affairs of the earth,as at the Jantar Mantar, we will find a monument to astronomy. Perhaps a trip down Jai Prakash Yantra, bowl-shaped sundials with marble slabs lining the depressions.

DAY 09

Jaipur (Cooking for life)

  • Our breakfast today is special, not for the foods we will eat but for the elephants, we shall ride while eating. When we dismount our howdahs, be ready to see the Amer Fort. Through the “Hall of Public Audience” to the “Hall of Private Audience,” we will explore the palace.

  • We will visit a local family for a traditional dinner with a class on how to cook local curry. By the time we leave the kitchen turned classroom, you will be able to make your own thick curry and flavorful rice.

DAY 10

Jaipur - Agra (Beneath the cool earth) (238 kms/ 4.5 hrs)

  • After breakfast, drive to Agra. En-route, see the Fatehpur Sikri, a palace complex that was planned on complex principles of Persian architecture. The step well here is like a pyramid in reverse, a well dug deep with room to flood and reserves left over. Here, the stepwell is over thirty meters deep with 3,500 steps making a dizzying stairway down.

  • With our day mostly done, we will arrive in Agra in the afternoon. We still have time to relax and enjoy the sunset views by the banks of the Yamuna River before bed.
