• Start the tour with a visit to Gateway of India and explore the monument's area, such as the iconic Oberoi hotel juxtaposed to it.

• Proceed to Regal Circle and marvel at the heritage buildings such as the Prince of Wales Museum, NGMA and Police Headquarters.

• Next, visit the Kala Ghoda Art Precinct and Bombay University, and watch cricket at the Oval Maidan.

• Head to Flora Fountain and Town Hall, followed by the Victoria Terminus, the Municipal Building and Crawford Market.

• Continue to tour Marine Drive, Chowpatty beach, and Mani Bhavan, Mahatama Gandhi's home. Go to Malabar Hill and the popular Dhobi Ghat.

• Further on visit Bhendi-Bazar, Chor Bazar, Bandra Fort, and see some Bollywood stars' houses.

• Head to the Kaneri caves. The Kanheri or Kanhaseli caves are a major attraction point as it gives an interesting glimpse into the history and culture of Buddhism in India. Most of these 109 Buddhist caves, chiselled out of the volcanic rock are simple small chambers known as viharas. A few are larger and deeper chambers known as chaityas. The main one has a tall colossal standing Lord Buddhas on each side of the entrance porch, a colonnade of 34 pillars surrounding the interior halls, and an overtopped stupa at the far end, all carved into the existing basaltic rock. These caves are dated back from 1st century BC to 9th century AD, indicating a well-organised Buddhist establishment for monks.
