Description

As you set out for a tour of Tel Aviv, enjoy floating in the Dead Sea, travel to the historic fortress of Masada, an ancient fortress in southern Israel’s the Judean Desert. It's on a massive plateau overlooking the Dead Sea. A cable car and a long, winding path climb up to the fortifications, built around 30 B.C.     • 07:15 a.m: Meet your tour guide at the hotel. Begin the drive to the Dead Sea. Here, even non-swimmers can enjoy swimming as its high salt-content keeps the body afloat.

    • 11:30 a.m: Start Tour of Masada at the entrance of the site. An optional cable ride takes you to the fort.
